Your opinion would be a lot stronger if you could provide a replacement ability for us to compare.
Yup!
Exactly. It’s rare enough that it should be strong.
That’s a reason to keep it, not remove it.
It’s still a valid defense though. And if scorned was made not unique, it would become more common.
It is NOT a valid defense unless this can be proven- e.g by an observer.
The fact that it occurs so rarely makes it too strong.
It is possible that the defense is good enough that they trust the accused, but then the accuser will die.
In fact, IF you trust someone to be framed but the accuser to be BD as well, then in the vast majority of cases this will be incorrect.
It can be proven though by an observer.
But it’s rare enough so it won’t usually have a big effect.
Illusionist needs some tweaks but I’m not sure removing framing is one
I’m all for letting another Unseen class frame though
Also please yes get rid of Retribution. It’s kind of pointless and only really serves to screw with whatever faction it gets used on.

Mental Blur is the one to be replaced lol
Also please yes get rid of Retribution.
Courtroom drama is really fun and this is the main reason I think Retribution will never be removed going by what the devs have said.
If we took Snoop away from Noble, what if we used Snoop to replace Mental Blur?
Maybe make it a day ability? Like hunter can choose weather or not to kill the person who voted him up first
It’s not pointless. It prevents classes that are easy to fakeclaim from being easy executions. I agree that it doesn’t fit with hunter since it is already unique and easily confirmable though. Knight should have it instead.
Hypnotize could work. Or maybe a buffed frame.
100% down with that
I definitely see where you’re coming from, but I have a feeling that would play out a lot worse than you’d expect.
Giving a non-unique and common fakeclaim that is hard to prove an ability that kills its first accuser is too much dissuasion. It would be hell to have three or four conflicting Knight claims, as your main non-Investigative method of dealing with this situation (executions) has just become more dangerous than a mislynch already was by potentially taking out another BD in the process. This would be nothing short of a clusterfuck.
This would actually resolve itself really quickly. If you have 3 knight claims then have 1 vote another and then get them executed. If they are good then the other claim is killed. If he is also good then the last one is evil. If one of the other 2 is bad then they are now dead.
If you have 4 knight claims then you again have 1 vote up another. If you lynch a scum then it resolves to a 3 knight claim situation I covered already. If you get a good knight killed who then retri’s a scum then the other 2 knights can fight it out that night. If 2 knights die from this then you know the other 2 are scum.
Okay so I think I gotta a good idea that will make everyone happy, make retribution a day ability for hunter which if he is lynched he can choose weather to kill the person who voted him up
How does that make anyone happy? That just buffs the Hunter, which I’d argue is pretty strong already.
I’m just proposing it because someone said, hunter is useless and screws the faction that voted first
I personally like retribution as a passive
It’s not useless because it screws the faction that voted it. It can kill an evil.
The problem is that it screws over the faction that lynched it.
I know I am not the one who said that, if you want to reply go reply to the person who said it not me
I’m supporting that person with that assertion. I don’t need to speak with him about it.
Okay
