you don’t have to treat alts like new players

take SFoL62 for example

nobody really treated 82nd like a new player, they treated her like a player they didn’t know, because if you read their posts they did not come off as a new player, and they specifically said they weren’t inexperienced

i do agree that when people are alting, it removes the point if they are obvious who they are and if they post on their mains on accident they deserve to be bonked

but i think had i not posted on my main in sfol62 that 82nd would be considered a good example of alting, i tested a completely different playstyle and mindset that i don’t think would be taken seriously if i played that game on my main, and i don’t think i would have had the success in doing so on my main because of other factors

i think having the option to alt is good for the forums

i don’t think every instance of using them has been good

Actually, I tried 82nd like a new player and the moment I tried to talk about alts, everyone got annoyed at me. It’s just annoying.

I agree with this, but can we make the rules not so annoying to play against, as or with? It just makes it a waste of time and playing against alts just feels stupid to me.

what do you suggest

That’s not up to me to decide. I’d prefer for them to be removed since I see no way of fixing them into fun.

thats… kind of on you, honestly?

i get that if someones on an alt spamming joycats and FPSing redchecks you kind of know it has to be one of two people and then you’re kinda in a weird limbo where you know its probably X or Y but can’t say that

and that’s a problem with the people alting

but back to the 82nd example

they literally said they weren’t a new player

and really, their posts are kind of blatantly not from a new player :upside_down_face:

with all due respect i feel like every alt in SFoL62 had a fairly easy to read level of experience

No because when I played as an alt, I was told ‘Play as a new player’ and others were treating me as one.

I did the same as Feathering, didn’t do the same as the other alt (which was on me) but I was still treated like a new player.

I will keep hating alts, purely for how bad the rules are and how unfun they are to play, against and with you can keep arguing with me if you want about it but the rules are so bad on them and you can’t deny that.

The rules are not meant to make alts less obvious, they are meant to prevent you from discussing alts in the thread. I would say it accomplishes this goal, Wazza.

But my point is the fact that we’re pretending alts aren’t alts so you’re exactly pointing towards my point?

No you are proving the rules do their job lol

i think wazza is trying to say that if a player is an obvious alt and is clearly following their meta, you’re not allowed to point that out

Yeah I understand that.

That’s the point of the rules though

by who?

if you want to feign being a new player then that’s a thing you can do

you were also the first alt in a live game so you were probably treated differently due to that, a lot of players here have probably never played with alts

i agree with this being a problem

this is a problem with the players alting imo

Wait I misunderstood what you said

This begs the question:Is being in the meta of another person on purpose on an alt against the rules

this is a valid concern which i have brought up in the past (in a comedic way)

yeah but restricting the game in a sense still sucks ass for the players

“why are they scum/town”
frantically coming up eith some bs reasons rather than just saying ‘their meta is like what they did in games x, y, and z’

Chloe.

I’m stating the rules are bad because they’re annoying for players that are playing in the game.

Yeah, this is the point I’m trying to make (Similar to it)

Exactly why I’m saying the rules are bad.

technically no

what?
