I’m sure that writing up a “constitution” is a good idea if it’s done right. I’d be wary of marginalizing host autonomy too much however.

Well, we still need to define what Angleshooting is. And using loose language like “Against the spirit of the game” isn’t helpful. Bastard games themselves are technically against the spirit of this game, yet we allow it.

Let’s start with an example that we could agree that is practically not angleshooting, but still is.

Then we’ll get an example that we can all agree on is practically, but not actually, angleshooting.

After we define these two extremes, we just make a definition around them.

Remove angleshooting entirely. Establish:

OGI - Outside of Game Influence

Outside of Game Influence is using tools or processes that could potentially influence the outcome of an ongoing game. OGI tools or processes are most commonly things such as threatening to use the report system, bribery, pretending to cheat, forum tools that are not inside of the thread (such as most recent visit, most recent like ect.) and other ‘pacts’ or ‘groups’ made prior to the thread being created fall under this rule.

Original angleshooting should be a compulsory rule; I will not back down on this. Playbase is far too small to justify splitting the community over a controversial issue, either making games smaller than they should be or having a bunch of grumpy veterans complaining about how bullshit the angleshooting rules are.
