Announcement: Updated Policy on Replacements

Most spectator chats are public anyways, so idk what you are talking about?

Most spectator chats are not public
That is the problem

You yourself just said you shouldnā€™t have specced Priestess is literally agreeing with you

I thought it was pretty obvious that I didnā€™t want people to see my whining and complaining + breakdown during the game.

I thought she was saying that I shouldnā€™t have spectated if I wanted to sub in even if there was a chance it was being privated and I was being flamed

Even if they arenā€™t made topics instead of PMs you can generally get access post-game which is what is meant by public here

yeah if thatā€™s the case then iā€™m fine keeping it private

but if the only reason was strategical I would just have publicized it (or let amelia do it if they wanted to)

Actually

Thatā€™s probably enough to completely stop Priestessā€™s stalking issue anyways

I think you missed a little of the discussion. I think some people are speccing because they missed sign ups and/or want to join the cool kids - whereas it would be better if more people allowed themselves to.be available as a sub.

Btw even when chats are staying private, often people who are interested in will get an invite, if everyone is okay with that.

Thatā€™s what is meant by public

Public being either fully publicised or allowing anyone access through an invite

Private - nobody given access
Public - people given access

Keeping it in a DM and only giving people who ask access is still public and completely acceptable on every level

Giving a private invite to a single person.

Difference is that people outside forum wouldnt be allowed in I suppose, which is what Priestess is worried about.

Which is fair.

I mean kyo

not all DMs on the forums will be public

some people can say things that they know arenā€™t going public

if this whole argument is because you are worried people are going to talk about you behind your backā€¦ donā€™t.

they can do that literally anywhere. Even if spec chats are all publicized (and people were flaming you, which I donā€™t think they do), people can still talk about you behind your back

itā€™s a realitiy that literally everyone has to live with so arguing for full spec chat publicization is not the hill to die on IMO

I would be completely fine with this

Like literally one singular person or anybody who asks and isnā€™t just some rando

fwiw

i think most of the spec chats that i have been a part of that werenā€™t publicized werent publicized for reasons that are easily fixable
