ummm doesn’t noble have report in the form of gossip?

No. He doesn’t

But yeah getting feedback seems way too confirmable. GUY VISITED. Now you know exactly who an Observer is

But apologies for misreading.

If you happen to already know he is an observer for any reason then your set. And there is lots of ways to get someone’s class as scum.

Ok maybe not with observer but you get my point

Seems like a good suggestion for a new insta-exe on trial person.

And for honest opinions:
Messenger
BD Investigative

Mole
Unseen Social

The BD version of Messenger is more of an investigative rather than social since he pulls out potential classes from someone. It’s still a pseudo-social class, but I think Investigative fits better.

Mole is more of a Social though. Their abilities disrupt the end-result sort of like Fool and Scorned. They can also entirely block the end-result. A much more “Social” character than Messenger.

But since another person gets the feedback then that’s social

so technically a pally who checked a person and another person got his results = social

Reasonable, but I still think Messenger fits as Invest instead of Social since instead of knowing what other people did to your target, you now know exactly what your target did. It’s a hard-counter against all converted classess too. Just plop a messenger on them and he already knows that the person is converted. (Unless this is Servant/Invoker/Sage/Ritualist)

Socials shouldn’t be able to do that.
And for that reason it should be Investigative since they gather knowledge.

To be fair that would make him at best as good as a Sheriff. And even then it doesn’t work for that most of the time.

True, but my point still stands, The Messenger gather classes, should it really be a social?
Shouldn’t it be an Investigative?

You could say the same for Noble and having his main ability being Gossip

But hes social

since 2 people get the info = social

As I stated above, I think Noble fits social because he doesn’t know who the original user was. + He also has Spy. He also needs to be lucky to find out who is being targetted.
Messenger however does not fit in with the same terminology since he literally knows exactly what response a certain player got. This fits much better in as an investigative.

You can go check the wiki definition of it

(I would copy/paste bit it isn’t working)

The original user thing is semantics. If you think Gossip is social then Report is social. If you think Gossip is investigative then Report is investigative.
