Darling in the Franxx SFM - Game Over | Mafia Win

I’m going to start going through my towncore reasonings because i have nothing better to do and i wanna be productive. In the instance I die, these people should be trusted and listened to. Work with them, and don’t give in to paranoia unless the PoE proves to be green multiple times over.

My towncore:
Wind
Proph
Aelin
Lukundo
Wisdom
Merc

Aelin:

I’d like to begin this by stating the fact that I have been in a sync chat with Aelin for the past two phases (n3/d4 & n4/d5)
She has been incredibly villagery within said chat, and even though her activity has dropped recently, she was also villagery in the main thread as well during earlier days.
We began our sync chat by talking over her wallpost on me, and I responded to her response - she ended up trusting me a bit more and we started bouncing ideas and reads off of eachother.
She had a bit of suspicion on me as my treatment of Guillo’s claim vs Wisp’s claim was a little inconsistent - and this read as genuine from her.
If shes a wolf she’s been emotionally manipulating me for 6 irl days too, which I heavily heavily doubt.
She went through Wisp’s ISO for spew, while I caught up on the parts of the game I hadn’t read. We bounced ideas off of eachother and I never got any indication that she was trying to shut down any of my reads or cast unfair suspicion on people.
Her reaction to Wisp’s death was one of disappointment over the fact that she only caught him based off of mech (which I think is untrue), but it felt very pure, and it didnt feel like a WiM-drop because a buddy died.
Her read regarding Lukundo has had solid progression, and she thought there was something wonky regarding the Luk/Helz argument - that it could potentially be w/w (I disagree but shrug). I also expressed a tiny bit of doubt on my Helz push, but she told me to stay the course.

I know this entire paragraph can’t be fully trusted atm, but I’m writing all of these towncases in the chance I die tonight. If that happens, please put stock in this.

Moving on from the sync chat, I think Aelin’s interactions with Wisp aren’t partnered. Not only did she attempt to CFD to Wisp at EoD1, when wagons were v/v and wolves were content with the situation, but she also initiated a thunderdome with the guy - which wolves were (in hindsight) blatantly trying to avoid and let dissipate. If the two are w/w they can backtrack on their scumreads of eachother with little effort, rather than going full steam ahead and forcing the thread to eliminate between the two of them on d3. Wisp’s flip was the key we needed to begin to piece the game together. Wolves were a few steps ahead of us, and Aelin’s callout turned the game around.

Along with this, Aelin’s ISO-dive on me was very villagery. Rather than shading and discrediting me for doing an RT by overplaying my suspicion on her, she accepted it with a bit of skepticism. Her readthru of my ISO had all the nitpickiness I expect from her towngame, and her mindset remained consistent as she suspected me for not treated Wisp how I treated Guillo.
Her case on Wisp, as well as follow-thru, were also very townie.

Don’t let her inactivity or paranoia be a reason to pull her out of the towncore; wolves will use that if they need to.
Aelin is a villager

Because this game isn’t fun when it is boring.

There was a discussion? Sorry, I must’ve forgotten about it since there was hours of silence before.

Ah, yes. “I am going to sleep” messages are very interesting.
“Take advantage of all the time given”? You mean just like how the game’s been dead for over 24 hours? Everything was already decided dozens of hours ago. There is no justification to delay this **** any longer. NOBODY HAS ANY NEW INPUT.

It’s just a repeat of what was already known.
Not hammering at this point is just an excuse to let the hosts adjust the SOD/EOD. We were already granted extra time, both at Day Phase and at Night Phase, but the truth is that everything is over within the first 12 hours of SOD/EOD.

Reread. Reinforce. Repeat.
The cycle will only break because there is a fixed time when this Day ends. Otherwise this Day will never end until everyone becomes as bored as I am.

If anything is making this game less fun, its constant negativity and aggression. I don’t really care that it’s boring right now - I’m more focused on winning, and using all the time we have is important.

I’m not engaging with you more on this - I’ve said my piece and I stand by it.

Negativity sours the mood, I agree with that.
However, I do not mind aggression as long as it keeps progressing the gamestate from being stale and lame.

That is your opinion, and I respect that. However, I have a different opinion. One that says “Fun > Victory”.

i think winning is fun

Winning something is not worth it if I don’t have fun while playing the game.
“The end does not justify the means.”

Bonjour

I’m kinda split between you 2. I think the day has ended tbh but I don’t actually see anything wrong with letting the day drag out in case someone comes up with a random arse carry thought

The literal only person who might give a new thought is smallworldz, who’s asleep.

This doesnt really help me

Still not voting anyone else tho

We get it. We also get that you won’t vote any time soon either.

no, I legit wanted your opinion in order to read you off it. I was looking for more details, like what specifically warrants his placement in your PoE that way.

yeah that’s a valid point. I’m not quite sure how to interpret it, either, right now. I’m still thinking it through.

Acknowledged. I’m at roughly the same point, although I feel like I’m still biased based on my previous reads, but I don’t really think Lemon and Blitz are aligned, and Nika has been tunnelling Blitz for days, so that’s also something to factor in.

Yeah, because I’m at that point where I wonder if I could be wrong. I still dont think anything that’s come from Whysper is absolutely outside of her scum meta, but I’m starting to see why Lukundo thought she’s town. I do want Whysper’s alignment resolved, though, and her letting herself be wagoned looks more like scum giving up than town giving up, so meh. I’m just saying I’m not opposed to a CFD, and yet I don’t think I’d personally encourage one, either. I just feel weird about this because it feels like there’s some crucial information we’re missing and I don’t really know why I think that, but the pieces don’t fit together even if we do yeet Whysper and she flips scum. My PoE is built in such a way that it was only counting on two more wolves, but 4 wolves in a 21er game does not add up correctly.

My lack of faith disappoints both town and wolves alike. /shrug

He bounced reads off me in the sync chat, so that’s not entirely true. What he’s done publicly, though, yeah. It’s mostly been advocating the Whysper yeet and tunnelling Min as the next option.

I just didn’t want to put her too close to hammer when we have so much time left. I’m almost definitely not going to be around for EoD because I have holiday plans, but I don’t want to risk a hammer before that because some people that I think are towny said they want to use the extra time to reevaluate certain slots and generally make productive use of the time before EoD. So as much as I’d like to just place my vote and be done with it, I’m sheeping my townreads enough to hold off. It’s very easy for anyone else to hammer, anyway, so I don’t even feel the need to vote or take any credit whatsoever, even though I tunnelled Whysper’s slot for like two days. It’s not my concern at this point.

Curious to know, why do you think that’s unexpected? I have a track record of paranoia reads, but I also turn on people when I’m a wolf, so it can go either way. If anything, I am 90% likely to turn on the majority of my townreads the farther I get into the game.

Lol

Nobody’s going to try to save her regardless of alignment, and if she’s a wolf, she’s a mafia goon anyway. Not that important, and they already let their rolecop flip which was a big RIP I suppose.

Correction: I would like for all three of you to be yeeted, and because Whysper isn’t a PR, I don’t care if she gets flipped first or last. You’re not a PR either, unless you’re a neut.

These are my shitty thoughts and I really don’t care what people have to say about them. That’s where my brain’s at right now lol.

…yeah there’s nothing else to squeeze from Whysper toDay and I doubt she’s going to add anything else, especially if she’s a wolf.

I wasn’t paying attention but who is the other wagon? Lemonfairy or Zone?

This
Also because it’s a long weekend here so I’m out doing irl stuff instead of being present in the thread so I do enjoy having extra time to do stuff before EoD

Acknowledged.

btw I can avoid posting these but then you’ll just have unexplained radio silence from my end lol
thought it was marginally better to give a heads-up so that people could still ask me questions before I leave the thread, instead.

yeah but this day is getting extended for host reasons so I kind of think the night will end up extended and the day will still start as scheduled, if we hammer early. So basically makes no difference.

Depends on how the aggression is used tbh. If it’s used for emotional manipulation, it’s not great (and I personally say this because I simply ignore it, much to the dismay of all the townies I’ve ever tunnelled). If it’s aggression to provoke a response from someone and gauge their alignment, it’s a bit of a slimy way to RT, but I wouldn’t complain so much about it tbh. If aggression is used to test a reaction, it’s different from reacting with aggression.

Mercenary

A majority of my townread on Merc comes from non-partnered interactions with Helz - however, I also believe she’s been townie on an individual level too.

I’d like to start with the fact that Helz wagoned Merc at the end of d2, which I think is VERY unlikely to happen if the two are partnered.

Votecount 1 - Blitz runaway wagon
Votecount 2 - Before Helz voted

We know that Tilga was a villager, yet instead of voting there or trying to shuttle votes in that direction, he piggybacked off of Wind’s Merc vote (which is something very easy to hide behind if Merc flips V. Just say you disliked the Wind wagon and were voting to save Wind or whatever). Considering his reaction to the attempted Wisp CFD at EoD1 being one of salt and annoyance, I heavily doubt he would contribute to a CFD on a different partner at EoD2. I think this event in itself is clearing tbh.

tempted to stop typing here but shrug

Proph explained this well earlier, but some of Helz’s posts to or about Merc feel bad faith in the sense that he was attempting to make Merc look suspicious. It doesn’t read as distancing, but more like planting the seeds of suspicion on her slot so he can push her as an elim down the line.

aya yo?

^ this one is him keeping his options open

I think Merc has been pretty damn transparent in the thread (when shes actually around) and simply from memory of her meta, I don’t think she would be as smooth and natural as a wolf. Her SoD3 wall was filled with genuine frustration and emotion - as well as OMGUS, and her progression to seeing a world where Blitz is a villager, townreading me when she used to scumread Erika, etc, felt good - like I could see the cogs turning in her head.

ayaya!

So
Merc is just a villager
Probably the most likely member of my core to be dragged out by woofers
Don’t let that happen (:

That just implies that scum are playing well to anti-spew each other. Other than gaining new -radical- insights, there really is nothing to do about that.

Actually, I am advocating min as the option after Lemon/Blitz. I don’t deny I am tunnling min, but I don’t recall putting them as the next option either.

Regarding first paragraph: Bruh. The only ones who actively use their given time to make reads are Chloe and Proph. Everyone else just lurks.

Regarding last paragraph: Except that if Lemon & min think the same way you do, then Whysper will never be hammered.
Though, at this point there is only 7 hours until EOD and I happen to be sleepy at 12 AM for once, so it’s already too late anyway.

WindwardAway

Nothing I said here has changed, and I’m still very very confident in Wind being a villager. In fact I’m now MORE confident now that Helz flipped W, and her paranoid mindset was indeed correct. Her interactions with Helz yesterday were aggressive and emotion-driven - calling him out for strawman arguments and basically saying ‘yeah fuck that. die wolf’ and i felt the f i r e. Her mindset regarding Zone today was also villagery. She didn’t suspect him just because Derps died, but because Zone didn’t have the same thoughts regarding Wind - and she called him out for not having a natural thought process.

Simply a villager. GG no re
