We tried to use this, at least Alyx and I when we first found it. Got to be that we found it too difficult to ensure that MM had not heard about what people saw in the mirror before looking in it, but this shows us that that was kinda fruitless from the start.
This one, I wonder how responsible I am for it… First thing I thought when I saw the accomplice motive was “Wait, what the fuck happens if the Mastermind is someone’s accomplice”, and I asked about it to confirm that yes, Mastermind could potentially be the accomplice and be “Blackened”. That’s why I brought it up to you before Alison’s death.
I mean, I’m literally holding that truth potion, and you thought I was MM for the longest time. Had this not been clearly labelled with “The MM can lie through this potion”, we probably would have done it.
Didn’t we almost clear Matilda for this, given the weird self-poisoning in Ch1?

i was smart enough to take notes as to who i read as what but pastze only explained like, exactly two of them, and they’re both cleared now
I might have given Matilda clear weight for “why the fuck would you ever poison yourself as MM in front of people, it’s gonna do nothing but raise red flags when you don’t die from it because you can’t die from it”, but… that’s kinda what happened, given that it took ~20 minutes for them to lose consciousness given Alyx’s recounting, any attempt to remove the poison did not start until after that, and they fucking lived through that.
