1 - Daily event(s) - Not bad, perhaps could be used more since D2’s one was literally “You can change your ITA shot to potentially profit” and it didn’t overall really leave any impact. I love the use of daily events in games, but I think a good use of these would be in one of the games I posted in the discord. I’ll find which one I’m on about in a bit.
2 - Arena - Good mechanic but I think it needed a bit more use. Arena was literally only a 4(?) use thing including the fact that D1 you added another arena as an event. If you do an Insurgency II this should be considered more.
3 - Italy’s Wincon - This is more of a niche point, but I felt like Italy could’ve actually flipped the game either way but he was killed before this could’ve happened. The powers that would be gained would both be fairly big swings for the teams who received Italy after purchasing the power. I actually would’ve liked it if eevee’s fakeclaim (A Merchant who sell abilities in an auction and after they get a certain amount of gold, wins) would have actually been a good sort of neut in a game like this.
Shop was incredibly scumsided. Town really could only do arenas since saving money was not only impractical, but even if they someone saved up enough they didn’t have enough info to buy anything that actually helped them very much besides like Pursuit.
I don’t think that this means shop was scumsided, I think it means money needs balancing more in all aspects:
1 - Starting money for each player
2 - Ways to gain money
Etc.
money is too expensive/hard to get
I was never gonna end up buying anything from the shop
I spent my money well but for like 80% of townies money was just worthless
despite living till end game i didnt gain any money or any items all game lol
I had lots of money but couldn’t buy anything. I was sitting at around ~3000 but slightly below and that meant I had nothing to spend it on.
Maybe introduce incremental purchases? 500-1500 and it goes up.
Also, definitely introduce more ways for town to get money. I thought there would be at least one role that earns more gold / gives gold to players / etc.
Like, Dew is a thief with Bargain, but I don’t think the role actually existed? Would’ve been a perfect opportunity to do something like this.
