I feel like they’re TMIing derps/gorta as town in their posts and these
reasons like this are super weak and the post I quoted throwing around a townread like that is weak but makes the assumption that derps is town (and that re-evaluation isn’t needed) feels super TMI-y to me and at the very least doesn’t feel like a partnery interaction at all.
I liked the wazza case. Still don’t know exactly how to feel about that slot i’ve honestly liked some of dat’s posts but wazza does look like he’s trying to go for towncred.
@ChopChop kind of your gameplan. Just the way you are approaching this game. Do you hope to solve people through FPSes, make a PoE/Towncore, just have fun and not focus on the game, like what is your plan for how you want to play this game.

Ok, lets start with this: take some salt. I started reading his ISO hoping to find wolf, and (no surprise)I did. That could very possibly be meaning that I just saw what I wanted
To be kind of what jane had. Both of their cases were bad and did a poor job of actually making the case for me, and to be honest rereading that wallpost it feels like Jane never cared about actually solving my slot and instead trying to make me look wolfy
Like actually yeah it’s exactly that that post is devoid of any genuine attempt to solve my slot.

let’s ignore the fact that he went back on what he said he was going to do in the first sentence and later on justified a really weird townread on derps. In this he actually like… analyses each post. And he asks gorta a question, and pings him. This shows jane is capable of making wallposts that don’t just set a person up as whatever aligment they set out to read a person as, but they still didn’t do it with us.
It’s possible they did my wallpost just to look productive but also when they started wolfreading us was when we were a large wagon early and sometimes scum will tunnel a LHF or consensus wolf and when they start being townie, they’ll just ignore it and continue the tunnel.
I can point to a few games where I was in that mindset and so yeah there’s another wallpost BITCHES

I really liked quite a bit of arete’s posts and ami’s ISO is fine too
I mind-melded them enough where I think they are probably just town
I’ll outright say that the “gamer things” that I was looking for with arete were arete trying to fake mindmelds with me but to be honest I don’t actually think arete is doing that. I also think arete believes their reads so yah.

so this announcement is appearing as ‘scummy’ because it is performative
but…this really only becomes the conversation when people push on it - not because he kept pushing it, dunno how it would go if it wasnt pushed, but I dont think its bad at all. If you play differently enough, because how much people rely on meta, announcing it like this just makes sense
and I dont really care if you think this is a bad reason, but his thought process is the exact same thing I was thinking in FoL 28 and I was town

we do both become center of attention which was p much the exact opposite of the plan and SR’d
after enough of the plan failing and being unable to at least give it a shot we get annoyed, drop it, and defend ourselves fowardly
I believe the change in play style is town AI, maybe NAI at worst - I get sometimes its scummy to say ‘hey im going to play differently this game’ because it looks like your getting out of meta reads but you shouldnt be trying to find similarities between town games anyway, that just locks them into a playstyle, rather look for similarities between scumgames if you think theyll play the same every time. So, it shouldn’t have to be said, but it makes sense to say it at the start of the game
also, since meta is rather ‘tight’, saying your aiming for a specific playstyle shouldnt be interpreted as scummy - rather, look at the playstyle and how they go through with it, not the fact that it exists.
unfortunately, we dont get to see how he’d go through with it, but I do think the playstyle was good, saying that somewhat because ive tried it before but also trying to take a step back and making reads by yourself/then share results comes from a townier mindset
though it would probably make them harder to read, depending on how they handled it.
this is almost a laughable reason to SR someone
just because it wasnt the pinnacle of RTs doesnt mean its scummy
like, a bad RT is not a scummy one - this isnt like a rolefish. This is just a normal thing to see

Summary
I liked the defenses because they didnt waddle around the accusation - they addressed the points and why they didnt work
and…they dont feel ‘caught’? I guess I could say? Like, their acknowledging the argument, saying why its bad, but still see the one or two posts that work. It doesnt feel squirmy, more analytic
Posts where Nappy pushes Arete
Their points about Arete not following through with their read, and then Arete just kind of says ‘Re-eval’ - I do see what Nappy means about Arete and I can follow his thought process and thats towny
Nappy sees something they dont like, they push it, and I can follow the thought process well enough to believe they believe in the read
so they get to be town
