FoL Feedback Thread

I mean we’re fol, so we don’t have to care if other FMs are having it or not. We don’t have to try to be like the others.

Which kind of Fool would a Jester be? Also a “make yourself two times deathimmune/ frame yourself two times/ give BD a penalty if they exed fool”?

It’s just Jester with extra powers
Jester sometimes has a penalty for lynching it

I played some social deduction games where the game straight up ENDS when the Jester gets lynched, and everyone but him lose.

Jester = Any role/class that needs to be lynched to win.

It’s typically a bad design in FM due to the fact that it’s too easy to win as it’s very simple to act like lynchbait.

Jester 10p works like this
ONUW

In games like ToL, you have to skirt the line being that people usually only execute people who have been red checked or caught by contradiction.

I strongly think Strigoi should just replace alch as the ‘neutral who isn’t directly aligned with anyone but really only tangentially based on their actions’

Why is this so hard to do for players? You scumread someone? Great, don’t lynch him, but try to investigate him, so you get mechanical evidence too. So you have both.

Games end on d4/d5
This makes it so that action inefficiency is a huge issue

Onuw is also one night and requires like five minutes. While fol is like 3-6 nights and can last like two weeks. A fool in it is so much more time consuming and unfun compared to a five minute game. That’s why fool works in TOL it’s not ruining two weeks of play at most 15 minutes

See FoL 20, where Prince jailed Poss for two nights in a row without executing, which allowed scum to act freely and run away with the game.

I was cheating anyways and silencing the prince, because it was possible to that time :stuck_out_tongue:

Imagine being busy and unable to share due to time constraints and pages taking years to load

Anyways goodnight kids, first night I’ll sleep in a week

This isn’t ToL. ToL can afford to NL because of more mechanical confirmation. Lynching only on red checks here is bascially asking for a loss.

Fool is hung

In ToL:

Fuck

In FoL:

I mean, in ToL you lose 1 or 2 days of lynching, and everyone who voted exe loses 1 charge of his limited abilities.

I remember in SFoL Abyss it was clear that someone was Fool, we lynched him regardless, and it … turned out to be good for BD and bad for Abyss.

And BD isn’t that negatively affected by it
Surprisingly

Tbh, we had a shit ton of mech confirmation outside of the Fool thing from the CW/Mystic interaction alongside the Priest and Prince.

That’s due to them not flip tailoring themselves and that the punishment is p BD sided

The real reason why it was good for BD, was that everyone was redirected to himself… I attacked in that night, which made the PoE for the attacker really really small.
