like if someone who has a 33% chance of winning as NK posts 800 posts() their faction averages 800 posts per player

if town or scum had those numbers one would have a far more likely chance of winning no?

now if they post like 9 posts then the same is true in reverse

but like giving that much power to a person isn’t good

800 posts should give like a 30% chance of winning at best

You rolled a class that is a tool that Imperium 42 is using to speed up their game, not a member of the teams who are supposed to be duking it out.

I hate the idea that posts should correlate with winrate past not slanking

Don’t give Fire that much power

My point was based on averages. On one game, you might get a game where scum cannot win. In others, the Nk would have to be stupid to lose. But the average of all of this randomness should still be 33%

Then remove ā€œand any neutrals that seek to do you harmā€ from both major faction’s wincons, and end the game even if the NK would lose. The NK is their own faction. They are self-aligned. They are a 3rd team of 1.

800 agenda-pushing posts

or like maybe 500 if you factor out fluff from our totally random example

A coin flip is perfectly balanced

Is it fun

like if someone posts 800 posts actively seeking their wincon

their wincon should be more likely fuffilled shouldn’t it?

technically they are their own faction and do count as another faction for the purpose of ā€œmultiballā€

brain suggests ā€˜only if they’re scum’

Third-party isn’t multiball

3p isn’t multiball

but SK is multiball

If they have a team yes

Otherwise no it’s just SK

technically not

You missed my point entirely. If any team was filled with piss-poor players, I expect them to lose. Their winrate should be low. My point was that the baseline should be 33%, but depending on you and your team’s overall skill level compared to everyone else, this percent should change.

But it’s impossible to assume that ToL will change by enough to make anything close to 33/33/33 not awful to play

The only difference between a 5 player 1 mafia game and a 5 player 1 SK game is the naming of the killer.

and this is relevant how?

Why is that impossible?

do you think ToL will have an incredibly major game-changing balance overhaul like that

do you think Xblade would want that

the community want that

would it help i42 at all?
