Forum SAW II (6/8 Blood Roulette)

Rise and shine. You’re probably wondering where you are. I’ll tell you where you might be. You might be in the room that you die in.

Basic Concept
I get 7/8 people to join and I place you in traps in which you must escape with minimal self-mutilation!
The traps with either be
a. Physical(you have to wiggle out of something)
b. Moral (You must save others at the expense of yourself)
c. intelligence (searching for a key somewhere)
Also, ALL TRAPS ARE ESCAPABLE, you can die easily if you make the wrong choice.

You make a sheet with stats with a maximum of 15 points which you DM to me with a sin
ex.
Physical 4
Morality 7
Intelligence 4
Sin: I stole a candy bar
(THIS ISN’T FLAVOR, these will decide your options and success rates!)

So… do you want to play a game?

RULES
1 You must try, thats no fun if people donlt value their lives!
2 If you be mean to Jigsaw(Me) you die
3 if you guys wanna make a story out of this you can
Players

  1. Marluxion
  2. Simon
  3. Unknown
    4.Insanity-DEAD
    5.AgentBOIIIIII-DEAD
    6.Strangle
    7.Hippo The Moral Monk
    8 Dad (FadeBlade)

CHANGE LOG

  • Removed time-based traps which relied on being on at the right time (See The Pit and Tea TIme in previous game)
  • Balanced Morality so it provides a passive buff to all stats(As it really wasn’t used last game)
  • I will roll to see which traps I use to spice the game up a bit
  • REVERSE BEAR TRAPS BOIIII
  • Made penalties for failing skill checks worse in stat terms.
  • All actions take an IRL hour, fail or succeed.
  • Reduced Timer for traps, you now have 48 hours PER TRAP (So around 48 actions)
  • More Billy Appearances, and there will be an accomplice to me which will help
-Added a trap to the RNG that the winner of last game will pick

so, does morality just give a bonus to skill checks in general
like, a d20 roll has to be less than 2*skill+morality?

@Insanity need stats & sin

so what i said was correct?

it is stats time 2 plus 1/2 morality

ah

wait, but then its still useless, as it is always better to put 1 point into physical and intelligence each than 2 in morality

thing is it’s universal, my ideal build would be 3-9-3

still
1 in each is way better than 2 in morality period. yes its the same on hard checks, but its way better on normal ones

thing is it’s also added to hard skill checks so for hard it becomes
Stat+moralitly bonus

but even then, its only the same as if you had one in each
basically:
there is no situation where it is better to have 2 in morality than 1 in each
heres the situations
(might/intelligence/morality is the order for stats)
Normal check:
1/1/0 | 0/0/2
1 is doubled, making it so that the roll must be less than 2/intel(or might)-point | 2 is halved, making it so that the roll must be less than 1/moral-point
Hard check:
1/1/0 | 0/0/2
1 is not doubled, making it so that the roll must be less than 1/intel(or might)-point | 2 is halved, making it so that the roll must be less than 1/moral-point

I used 0s 1s and 2s because this is stackable, and the result does not change

so my question is this
if i already have 7/7/0, name a situation where my chances are higher (not equal) if i choose to use the remaining point to make 7/7/1 instead of 7.5/7.5/0

Simon that is based on the assumption that morality has only negative consequences. Or that the lack of morality does not have any negative consequences.

its been established that the stats are for actions, and that the only negative effect of low stats is low rolls, and unless noz says otherwise my point stands

also, it has positive consequences technically, i was only saying that they’re never actually better than splitting those points among intel/might. never once did i claim that putting points into morality directly has negative consequences, nor did i say that putting points into morality fails to directly give you a “positive” consequence

Wb, need sheet and stat
