what happened here?
I remember making a conscious effort whether or not softing was okay there
I softed at an area of the game where I probably didn’t have to, but that would involve me putting in a ton of effort
oh no effort whatever will I do might as well give up
that is EXACTLY what you should’ve done
If mechanical info points to somebody being >>>rand village, you look very carefully at their posts and see their posts under the assumption that there’s something villagery there, and you point out that stuff in an analysis that either brings it back to null or has them as a villagelean
If there’s something I dislike it’s that doing a complete 180 seems to get you scumread
Honestly what they are saying is technically right, it’s much better to just keep your mechanical information in your logs and to invent a reason why someone is town instead of them being NS
If you do this, you also create more juicy associations when you get a redcheck, because the scum in question is not immediately in anti-spew mode if you have a check on them that you don’t immediately out.
Geyde does it all the time and yet he’s not mislynched every game. It’s all about HOW you change your mind.
Alright so this is what you are going to do
“Alright guys I’m going to take a step back and try to relook at this game, my gut is saying I’m thinking something wrongly and I am going to find out what it is.” minutes later you turn your priestess scumread to town and then get a new scum
Really, Marcus, it’s important to note that simply changing your mind on a read is NOT a complete 180, nor is it wolfy. What is wolfy is doing so with absolutely no progression, and quite often an emergency PR claim is counted as enough progression to mitigate most of your mislynch equity.
Or try to interact with them more and purposefully set up questions that would make them give a towny response regardless of alignment
JOKE
It’s funny how you can do a 360 on a read and not get scumread. I for sure would have read the progression from town to town as scummy.
So next time I want to progress from a wolfread to a townread
“Hey wolfread, are you a villager?”
“Yes”
“That’s a towny response guys, let’s CFD elsewhere”
When you’re town, don’t even be worried about looking town. I stay “consistent” to a fault and it’s one my shortcomings that I’ve been trying to work on. I do it more out of stubbornness and anchoring than a fear of being scumread, but the problem remains the same.
But seriously, part of playing Cop/Seer really is to invent reasons for why you’re turning back on your wolfreads. This is yet another reason why it’s better to peek leans and nullreads than people you actually believe to be wolves.
Or just not claim wolf for shits and giggles?
@Sarun
Was this a reference to FEFM?
You were obviously a cop with a red check on me.
Never forget how u killed Orange, and you got firing squad right after
