I don’t agree with that for a couple of reasons.

FoL users are not (as far as I am aware) bound by ToL rules or vice versa.

Putting in such a standard impacts another community.

It’s the things which are making the game difficult, especially for new players. It’s not surprising that experienced ToL players are here considered as newbies.
Just to name a few of the things, the extreme use of mafia abbrevations, the huge length of the threads. Also ToL players aren’t used to metagaming, they are more intentionally avoiding to metagame. Or the usage of termini which are here considered standard, but either not saying anything to a ToL player or even have a different meaning there.

At least for the abbreviations, I’m making a pseudo dictionary for those to help players get up to speed. <-- need ToL definitions to fill out a list

Meta is a FM thing. Many players are eventually able to overcome it if they get intentional with their play. As a standard improving general player quality helps solve this problem.

The ban thread will usually only mention higher level moderation action (taking a page from MU here)

I know I try to limit terms and such when I play here because terms are different and VCA is an art moreso than anything else.

It’s more we need teachers I think.

This is the point - FoL is a very crude mix from ToL rules and mafia gameplay, and that’s discouraging people (from ToL).

That’s almost all forum mafia though. There really isn’t a good way to not have it be so crude unless we run just forum mafia games without the FoL.
