Ici's solution to the D2 Mass-claim Problem

Apprentice

Blue Dragon Social

Train (Day) Gain a new ability. Your class type will change to reflect this change. (1 use)

Serve Wine (Night) Changes class type to Offensive Same as Butler (1 use)

Follow (Night) Changes class type to Investigative Same as Observer (1 use)

Heal (Night) Changes class type to Support Same as Physician (1 use)

BD Goal

Student

Unseen Social

Train (Day) Gain a new ability. Your class type will change to reflect this change. (1 use)

Serve Wine (Night) Changes class type to Offensive Same as Butler (1 use)

Follow (Night) Changes class type to Investigative Same as Observer (1 use)

Heal (Night) Changes class type to Support Same as Physician (1 use)

Unseen Goal

Cult:
Converts by class type as usual. Keeps either Train or their 1-shot ability.

A minimum of 3 Apprentices must spawn in any game. This will make a massclaim have less benefit, as there are lots of easy safeclaims for scum to use.

Please suggest things!

I mean it’s hard to make an evil version of an apprentice

Plus, nor does Servant or Duchess strike fear into the hearts of man

Touche.

And before you say that this makes the BD UP may I remind you that

  1. BD was OP before
  2. The Unseen/Cult use the same power roles to gain their power anyway

A minimum of 5 is too many imo. 2-6 seems reasonable and allows for lots of scum to claim it.

Minimum of 3? Does that work?

tbf fakeclaiming this with no follow/rb results is just as hard as claiming Physician

Also don’t worry, the issue is already solved by people yelling “we shouldn’t massclaim”

I wasn’t certain about Serve Wine, tbh
What should the Offensive ability be then?

If we’re adding a new low-power role, why not just do Citizens?

Because otherwise the Unseen will be stuck with a lot of bad converts

I mean Cult would be less screwed but there’d need to be a way to train Citizens once converted

@orangeandblack5 Pick one soloution to the Citizen convert problem:

  • Have each Cit count as half for the convert limit
  • Give Unseen some means of retraining Citizens into power Unseen classes, but with a cost of some kind, in exchange for the extra power.

Potential new soloution:

Citizen

Blue Dragon [Random Class Type]

You have no special abilities except your voice and your vote.
BD goal

Apprentice

Unseen [Random Class Type]

You have no special abilities except your voice and your vote.
Unseen Goal

The random class type is for terms of Cult conversion and fakeclaims.

Mastermind will gain the following ability:

Dark Tutelage (Day) - Retrain an Apprentice into any Unseen class. You will be occupied tonight because of this - Infinite uses

How’s this?

Maybe a limit of 1 per unseen class?

If you’re looking for a better name for the Blue Dragon one, perhaps Commoner or Peasant could work?

Also, do you get to choose what class with Dark Tutelage?

Also also, Blue Dragon classes are usually this blue (steblue).

Yes, you do get to choose what class.

Seems almost too good - converting an Apprentice is just better than anybody else lol

Possibly make it extend convert cooldown?
