Its probably an attempt to feel superiority over someone who isn’t like them, and therefore can be easily singled out.

Except those two words are used to intimidate people into silence the majority of the time they’re used.

You can reduce or rise it though

like it’s not enough for them to just be cis and be “okay cool i’m the same gender as my biological sex cool some people aren’t”, the Cis People™ will loudly doubt anybody who dares to have they/them pronouns on the internet for no reason

Nine times out of ten it’s religion that’s the cause of homophobia.
People will shout homophobic slurs but they don’t actually feel hatred towards them.
They’re in the group where if we eradicated the people who actually feel hatred they’d just stop completely

I would disagree. I believe it’s the minority.
The only time they’re used to silence someone is generally when someone pulls it out of their back pocket that just because they’re homosexual that the targeting is specifically because of that.
It’s not.

You never hear of Christians throwing the gays off rooftops. Unlike those Religion of Peace followers we hear so much about.

Who are the religion of peace followers exactly

I feel like this isn’t true majority of the time but I’m not really qualified to judge this since I can’t just reach into the minds of these people and discern whether they actually genuinely hate people who aren’t like them, or if they are just blindly following others because “my religion said this is right so it has to be right”.

I mean

the people who were threatening to literally assault a kindergartener at my school when I was in tenth grade, for the sole reason that she was trans, were primarily or exclusively Christian

obviously Not All Christians but

The point still stands, homophobia is indeed very much real and is a thing among religious fanatics followers.

in case it wasn’t obvious that was sarcasm

Block and forget, the only issue might be if you are in the same game but… I guess mute should work? Doesn’t it just hide messages?

fun fact: islam and christanity are equally as awful

Hint: There are 57 nations which form a bloc in the UN called the OIC.

it hides messages only, yes. I can still read them, but only if I actually want to.

That might be a good solution then.
