On other sites that rule exists to avoid trust tells.
In general you don’t want provable randomness as then it’s something you can use to “prove” you didn’t think. It’s a touchy subject best just not to.

Ooh that reminds of the rule exactly like this in secret hitler where if you could prove that randomness is a non issue then you can break the game in certain respects
