They will because sometimes its advantageous for them to TMI slots as town.
But not always, and it’s less common for wolves to come in at the beginning of the game and already tmi some slots town unless they’re planning to take them down when they get eliminated.
OK, thanks. I do see that your read on me has shifted in the next couple of posts, so I’ll be tracking that. I think I was pretty question-heavy early game but as people have shifted to posting more readable content I’ve also done the same.
Is there any way you can substantiate this with posts, or is this just a gut feel? Reason I ask is because I think there’s a thin line between “confident, inquisitive villager” and “wolf who wants to start the game off strong”. Think the former is more common than the latter but I know of wolves who try to start off strong to get early townreads.
Wanted people to vote me if they were scumreading me so that we can get some attempt of vote analysis later in the game, and I wanted people to actually commit rather than drive-by shading me. Think 3-4 players at the time were scumreading me but not actually voting me, and I wanted to call that out.
I also sort of believe this, but I’m also paranoid that we realistically can’t catch a wolf in the towncore who’s having a good game thus far until later because we have no idea on relative wolfranges. Plus I don’t want to get complacent, especially when this site has a trend of wolves winning the past five or six games. Complacency is the village killer and we haven’t even flipped anyone yet.
I haven’t seen anyone talk about Officer that much, so here’s my thoughts on the slot. I feel like their opening was pretty much ignored, and I can see why, but their opening has such a big contrast between their other posts that I’m kind of concerned there - I know a couple wolves who are good wolves once they are getting rolling but they struggle in the opening posts, and I can see that being the case with Officer.
Pretty sure I said in a post recently that I thought something could be TMI. So no, I don’t particularly think it’s impossible for wolves to TMI slots, but it has to do with the way in which they approach it and how many slots they “TMI”.
I read the entirety of Cryo’s post that I’m replying to and I have to say this is pretty villagery the way they outline their reasonings. I can follow their thoughts and understand what it is they’re seeing in other players’ posts up to this point, so it’s very easy to track their reasoning.
