The reason it’s not the best play is that it’s redundant and has a lower chance of catching a wolf. If I crossvote with someone, if the game doesn’t end, it’s very likely most players vote with me rather than against me. Which means, we might as well have had someone else vote that person - someone less townread, who might be a wolf themselves.

I’m not sure if I’m explaining this well.
