I think eliās defense of vul could plausibly be from a villager whoās gut instinct is to deny a read that they think is logically unsound even if doing that is anti-wincon becacuse itās his instinct.
It could also be from a wolf whoās gut instinct is to defend a wolfpartner and doesnāt really grasp the implications of their defense, because it doesnāt directly lead them to harm
Eli as wolf tho with villa atlas has every reason to just let it go by on a v!atlas, as thereās no reason to defend it, not for towncred, not for anything. No gut instinct says āhey, defend this pointā
