I’ve noticed that we have a lot of games going on and I wanna get the ToL FM community opinion on it :stuck_out_tongue:

  • Keep FM unregulated
  • Have FM slightly regulated (Certain number of FM at once)
  • Regulate FM (Lists, certain numbers of active games, ect)

Blacklist firekitten/htm/memesky from making fm games

Less FM’s = better FM’s
2 FM’s at once = Boring as waiting for new SFoLs :stuck_out_tongue:

I think FM’s should be regulated, but probably leave turbo and bastard games unregulated.

It should be but can we have a VIP queue where if enough people clearly really want a game to happen it can just start - like Community Mafia or AITP. I don’t want the forum to be clogged with loads of mediocre games so suddenly I can’t play any of the good ones.

Also you should only be allowed to have 1 game in queue.

If there won’t be lists I think it would help if people posted their FM’s ahead of time, such as “This game will start in about X days/weeks” or “This game will start when X game finishes”. This would let people know which games are coming soon so they avoid hosting too many at once. It could also help if people pre-sign up so when its time for the game to start the playerlist is full and people don’t have to wait.

I find it upsetting that there is 2 open SFOL slots and because of the excess amount of Forum Mafia games none of them are able to run. Upsetting because I cannot host my thing. Sam17z goes to can some forum mafia games and never returns

So we have discussed that there needs to be a limit, but what is an appropriate limit for FM’s. Keep in mind we have 6 FM’s going on (including: Sniper which just got canned, BTM which is inactive and might get canned, and 4 other serious games being played) Also consider the fact that there is no SFOL’s being played right now so factor in that time would need to be alloted for that. And we have our FOL tournament which is basically an FOL. Also the Casual round of the Pokemon showdown tournament is being played with the XYZ puzzle game hosted by wham which both do not count as FM"s.

Thing is I don’t want to join any of them atm because they don’t interest me. I don’t want to have really long queues of mediocre games meaning that genuinely really good games which would easily fill even without a queue come around once in a blue moon.

I mean we could have like a survey which is what I did if there is enough interest to join a game then it should be allowed to run but if there are a lot of games atm and there is not a lot of interest then they should not be allowed to run.
