I feel like all this points talk is distracting us from making actual reads, like in LotR with maps talk and DR with Student Council

plus talking so much about points makes it really easy for scum to hide because you can say just about anything about points and it’ll be roughly as content-y as anything else anyone is saying about points, with the added bonus effect that it leaves zero associations

This is a good post, but it’s definitely one they can make as scum. It’s a good look they repeated this argument later on in their eevee case however.

I do find it mildly notable that N and Marshal aren’t self-presing onto each other or really interacting with each other’s wagons at all, that’s often a sign of partners

Jake - Hot take, but Jake is probably town. The last few times I’ve played with scum!Jake (so, ToS FM, Candlelight, and the Cop 13er) he literally managed to get himself muted or suspended because of how toxic he was just because people were pressuring him. Here, he’s responded to pressure by actually playing the game and trying to solve. His interactions with Vulgard today were kind of ??? but I don’t actually think they’re wolfy, like, if we start from the perspective that Vul is town and Jake wants him to be the town leader because of the whole ‘Vul has bad reads’ meme but like, Jake’s one of the people Vul’s wolfreading IIRC, in W!Jake worlds Vul’s reads aren’t all that bad so this argument doesn’t hold.

Almost all of his actual content has come in the form of discussing the Evo point, not discussing reads or actually making pushes, like he’s talked about his reads a little but it’s felt like kind of an afterthought

he keeps promising that he just needs to sort out who gets the Evo point and then he’ll make reads and then he keeps just talking about the Evo point anyway

I’ve been basically clearing him for his play because, like, the Evo point things he’s been doing feel town-motivated and feel helpful, but frankly mechanical discussions are one of the easiest ways to look like you’re being helpful and he did literally the same thing in “ToL” FM
