Usually i’d just use the translation
but the translation is literally “Italy”
so i’m calling that slot “italy2”

I agree with eevee here
my name is not a word in English (and is a (transliterated) word in a non-English language) and I don’t think anyone is arguing that it violates the rules
It’s greek, yeah.
someone posted the transliterated form of the name above, using that seems like the obvious solution?
Yidali.
Italy in chineese. Yeah.
Chinese Italy = Chitaly obviously
i’d argue it provides a slight tactical advantage because if scum want to quickhammer you, they would likely have to copy + paste the name, which adds about 5+ seconds to the time needed to quickhammer, so if scum mess it up it’s a chance for the game to be lost
but uh
I don’t think this is a serious enough thing to warrant name change
Frankly I’ll just call them by their name’s pinyin romanization.
and that could equally as much be an issue with someone whose name was, like, whatever the maximum character length for names is of English words
I mean, just post /vote Yidali
the real issue is if someone names themself No_Lynch
“Moonrunes” should do it as well
Ni hui shuo zhong wen ma?
LMAO, that’d be hilarious.
I imagine that there will ne some sort of easily said thing that will arise, and that itself will be what is counted as a vote.
like /vote zone would count for /vote Zone_Q11
