New Arbiter

The Arbiter :crossed_swords: :shield:

Hand of Byzantium Special
Battle-Tested (Passive) - Immune to every possible form of death except a lynch. You cannot be killed even by the duke. This passive is a form of supreme protection that overrules death immunity bypassing attacks.
Imperial Pledge (Passive) - You are entirely immune to all forms of occupation and redirection for the entire game. You keep this passive even if you choose to become the Champion or become elected as a Purified King. You also cannot be imprisoned by the duke. If the duke attempts to imprison you, he will think he has imprisoned you and you will be able to send a message to each other, but you will not actually be occupied, and if he attempts to execute you, he will fail.
Inside Seclusion (Passive) - You will appear as a class of your choice which you can inform the host at the start of the game or when you are promoted to the arbiter which you would like for to investigators. This class can be any class in the game, even any prestige class. You are fully immune to all investigative abilities for the entire game and will always appear as your desired class to investigators. You may choose one day ability from this class to add to your classcard. Additionally if you are the original Arbiter and die, if and ONLY IF the current Champion is the original champion, they will become the new Arbiter. The only exception to this is a Socialite who will automatically become the new Arbiter before the Champion and the Magistrate who will do so if and only if the Arbiter is lynched during the day. Otherwise, there will not be a second arbiter, and there can never be a third Arbiter.
Imperial Urgency (Day) - Become the Champion at the start of the night; if there is a current champion, if they are the original champion, they will become the new Arbiter; if not, they will become their convert class again. Cannot be used before day 4. - One use
Entrust (Night) - Convince someone to join the Hand of Byzantium. - Infinite uses, 1 day cooldown, except to convert a fourth member to the Hand of Byzantium, in which case that is a two day cooldown.
Imperial Judgment (Night) - Target a player. You may force them to target another, or force them to target themselves. If they target themselves, they will instead be occupied. You will also know who visits them. - Infinite Uses
Defeat the Unseen and any neutrals that seek to do you harm.

So basically Magistrate/Socialite become second over the Champion but nobody becomes Arbiter after you die if you’re not the original. Does that sound correct?

What

There are only three classes that can become a second arbiter
Magistrate (which will do so if Arbiter gets lynched but Arbiter can only die via lynch so if the Arbiter dies with Magistrate alive, Magistrate becomes arbiter)
Socialite who will also become arbiter automatically if arbiter dies

If there are somehow a magistrate and a socialite alive at the same time when the arbiter is lynched, the magistrate will take priority
Both any Magistrate and Socialite will always take priority over the Champion in becoming the second arbiter
Otherwise, only the original Champion can become a second arbiter and no one else

@Geyde Currently Visionary can only be passed down once, to the youngest member, according to the wording I’m reading.

Meanwhile Arbiter goes Arbiter -> original Champion unless there’s a Socialite. Or Magistrate if the Arbiter was lynched (which is the only way to kill them so same difference).

There cannot be a third arbiter. That was stupid and I removed that

I’m proposing a plan™

And then I keep building

Do you get this if you’re not the original? Question applies to both Visionary and Arbiter.

Not sure if you should

geyde counsel pls

I feel like BD should get 3rd Visionary but shared Call to Arms cooldown (if that’s not already a thing) and no ‘appear as X class to investigators’ for Visionaries after the first one. Meanwhile HoB can get ‘appear as X class to investigators’ for the replacement Arbiter but no 3rd Arbiter.

Hmm

I agree with this statement

Oh, socialite is a passive

The Woman Behind the Hand (Passive) - You will appear as Unseen to faction checks and will be promoted straight to Arbiter if the Arbiter dies, regardless of when they die or if the Champion is still alive. This passive is not lost when you are promoted to a Champion, only when you become the Arbiter.

While Magistrate is a day ability

Judicial Forgiveness (Day) - If your Arbiter is executed today then you will take their place. - One use

So Socialite promoted to Champion can also become a second arbiter

Makes sense

Also I feel like Champion could be given a flip tailor. Heroine has the ability to bypass and delete logs, and can also bleed. Champion should be allowed to flip tailor his kills I think + tailor logs maybe (although that might be too much so maybe just remove logs?).

The thing is that Champion can’t bypass and has a one-shot 2 KP while Heroine has more consistent 1 KP (because of bypassing) + the ability to delete logs with Call to Arms. So I think Champion could flip tailor (would also help with fakeclaims which is what we’re going for).

I kinda feel like Heroine gets completely screwed by occ/red but giving her occ/red immunity might be a bit much.
