SFoL 64 - Anonymous FoL - Day 6 - The Possessor, Inquisitor, and Fool are victorious!

Not really unless Alice is a god like deep wolf.

I pretty much trust alice here but I guess we do need to keep a close eye on their tone for conversion

Sure.

Let me paraphrase what I said in allies regarding them.
The other two players I will get more into later. Iā€™d like content from them first.

I believe Helenā€™s end-of-day ISO on Andy spews him as non-cult. The conclusion they came to does not match the analysis they provided. Along with this, they were oddly confident in Andy being town, but the reasoning they used was very weak. They said multiple times that Prince had flawed logic in their push on Andy, but they themself had very flawed logic in their defense of him.
It very much seemed like TMIā€™ing Andy as town - likely for credit after a townflip

Are their reasons for you to doubt it was townreading a fellow scumteam member?

I think has Gilbert is bountied they are a obvious vote target for today. Of course we should vote them up with like 10-6 hours left because Iā€™m pretty sure nobles donā€™t extend the day

Also:

If Andy is a wolf, they are NK in most worlds.
I think Observer would see Cult Leader visit both the attack & conversion target.

I felt a distinct lack of confidence from Helen throughout the majority of the day, and I think it is very bold of them to do this if they are a wolf.
To me, it felt more like TMIā€™ing Andy as town, rather than hard-defending a scumbud when they were under extreme pressure from being top wagon, and being suspected by a majority of the court.
Youā€™re right that it could be, but I also have been trending Andy up slightly if you read my EoD wall on him.
Iā€™m by no means locktowning Andy, especially in a game with conversion, but I donā€™t want to lynch him today.

Ivo youā€™re going to run out of likes and the day just started.

Andy could be the n1 convert I guess? which would be awful and make no sense from a scum Pov imo

As itā€™s a cult game converts are important to knock out sadly.

quick thing: donā€™t make me king
i would be awful at that, iā€™m not the town leader type in the slightest just donā€™t do it.
i apologize again for my lack of activity D2, i was dealing with irl medical issues.

Yeah I agree no offense (I just donā€™t think youā€™d strongly lead, me neither I just donā€™t have a choice in being prince) youā€™d have to step up anyway

Anyway, time to make a small deduction before I truly went to sleep.

Geoffrey couldnā€™t be the starting CL/NK here as they were jailed by Ivo during N1, and they canā€™t be the convert as I assume that Helen is the RC here. So unless Geoffrey somehow got converted N2, or Helen is the convert target and Geoffrey is the RC, then Geoffrey is pretty much confirmed-ish.

what does this mean

Geoffrey is pretty claim (mech wise anyway).

Random cult.

Iā€™m think cult Leader was occupied n2 as they lose their occ immunity after first convert right?

54 posts is really not much to work with over 2 days.

I do not have a strong opinion about this opener. Itā€™s about Thomas. So many posts on day 1 were about Thomas, they are starting to meld together into a shapeless mass of nothingness.

I donā€™t like how Sarahā€™s first read seems to be a preflip associative read. At least she did not try to push it, but it is not the best start.

Wow Iā€™m so slow at reading

Let me quickly respond to Geoffrey before EoD:

[quote=ā€œGeoffrey_Bailey, post:1433, topic:83777ā€]

Well ok I might just be using English bad here.
I liked Alice as a player and thought that we should be keeping them alive for some time because of their experience, and they seemed towny enough because they were . In my experience and in the things Iā€™ve been told, experienced players should be kept alive until determined otherwise through mech.

[quote=ā€œGeoffrey_Bailey, post:1433, topic:83777ā€]

Similarly here, I used ā€œtowncoreā€ in the terms of ā€œnot really sure about their alignment but I think we want to keep them aliveā€
on second thought maybe I shouldnā€™t bother others for their english

I also want to know how you went from this

Is it just me, or does this entire post manage to say nothing despite using many words?
Because that is the impression I get, and it is not a positive impression.

ā€¦This was about Isabel, right? That is how I read the post. I thought it was about Alice for a moment.

Not the most independent reads. This was the general consensus at the time, perhaps except for Isabel.

So far, the ISO is not actively scummy, but there are some outlying negatives.

Iā€™m not sure if I believe this is written in good faith.

Not that I intend to whiteknight Alice, but this post comes across asā€¦ odd. An attempt to discredit Alice for an uncertain reason. This isnā€™t a scumread, itā€™s not shade, it looks to me like subtle manipulation. ā€œAlice is doing certain suspicious things. I am not calling her mafia, but be wary of her.ā€

More Thomas discussion. Seems to take the accusation quite seriously despite it coming from Thomas 1, who really should have been ignored this game as soon as he opened his mouth.

Sarah really wants to prove her innocence. Despite the fact the accusation had come from an untrustworthy source, Sarah still considered it important enough to defend herself from, even multiple times. This could be indicative of mafia defensiveness. That said, itā€™s not the strongest reason to suspect Sarah, and a townie could be defensive, too. Forā€¦ other reasons.

ā€¦Someone said this before me, but that was not an example of rolefishing. Thomas 2 was saying that Ivo should be executed by the true Prince if Ivo is fakeclaiming Prince. Thomas 2 did not request the true Prince to out themselves.

Iā€™m not sure why Sarah got so worked up over Thomas 2ā€™s ā€œpicking on inactives,ā€ considering the fact she had not talked about Jane at all. Why does Sarah care?

Itā€™s possible that sheā€™s projecting, and the reason she complains about Thomasā€™ pushes here is that she is rather inactive herself and does not want to become a target.

But thatā€™s my theory.

ā€¦I donā€™t know why Sarah seems to think this. Why exactly is that the case? Anyone could easily fake targeting Thomas with no pushback, because he annoyed everyone and nobody would find targeting him suspicious.

Sarahā€™s accusations baffle me, because I donā€™t understand how they are supposed to work. I donā€™t agree with any of the logic she uses for her assertons.

I actually liked this post initially. Upon re-reading, I still like it. A little.
Peter is someone I definitely still think could be mafia.

This explanation does not cut it for me. Pretty much it.

This is actually entirely correct. The problem is that it is mechanical, which means it could easily come from either alignment.

I agree with the content, though. I donā€™t have the slightest idea what Alan was thinking.

This post is an example of neutral hunting. I donā€™t like this example of neutral hunting. Why canā€™t Isabel be groupscum?

Conclusion: There are multiple questionable things in this ISO, up to and including strange discrediting and neutral hunting. Many of the posts have struck me as very safe, not stirring the pot too much. Sarah has mostly been sticking to the sidelines and not really doing anything of note. When she did take action, it was either something I did not agree with or something I failed to understand.

Iā€™m experiencing strong dissonance with this slot. I think they have been trying to stick under the radar, and since Sarah isnā€™t the Prince, one of the most notable reasons why someone would do this as BD is gone. I think Sarah is mafia who has been trying to stay undetected by slipping through the cracks and not writing anything controversial that would get her questioned. The closest thing to a questionable idea within her ISO is the solid scumread on Isabel, but that is about it. It has not been pushed enough by her to become notable, and she has not contributed to the discussion very much.

Overall, this does not look like BD trying to solve the game. This looks like mafia trying to fit in and pretend they are solving the game.

Firmly in PoE for voting today.

Nah I respect it Iā€™m glad you are fine about it aslong as you can do your best thatā€™s all I can ask

This is true. And considering the fact I still scumread Andy independently, that could be exactly it.

I understand where youā€™re coming from, and I agree. Iā€™ll re-read Helen for spew in a few moments.
I doubt I will find much, considering she hasnā€™t done much of anything, but maybe.

Considering sheā€™s been unimpressive throughout the game, Iā€™m assuming she isnā€™t the n1 convert unless the mafia wanted her to go under the radar. For the sake of caution, I will separate her ISO into ā€œday 1ā€ and ā€œday 2.ā€

The way she reacted to my push on her was an overwhelming disappointment, come to think of it. She just folded and froze completely. Iā€™m still annoyed we didnā€™t have the opportunity to lynch someone yesterday.
