I also think Alice is likely town, if only because she is trying to post actual analysis in a thread flooded with nonsense. It’s a less strong read, because wolves can post analysis too. But I think her analysis has been quite good, which is why a townread is warranted.
Also, considering the context: the threadstate is an absolute mess. A wolf could get away with not posting anything substantial with trivial ease. Which is why whoever is posting something worth reading is automatically more likely town than not.

This no longer applies after I wrote this post, because now wolves might want to do the same thing just so I will townread them. I will no longer townread people for this.

But I’m comfortable townreading Alice for it, and Lucy too.

Early alice reads, I’ll likely get to alice soon, mostly just heard nonsense about Thomas scum reading them I’m going with small town vibes from this early post.

The raw indignation in this post does not come across as fake. Obviously, it’s not an alignment read or anything of the sort, but I still believe that this is more likely to come from a townie rather than a wolf.

Thomas’ behavior is helping the wolves immensely. Like I said, wolves could have just ignored him, or complained about him without really trying to make it sound “powerful.”

But Mary’s post right there is spiteful, direct, strong. It is towny. It comes from an indignant villager.

Now, we have 3ps in this setup, but I believe the same principle should apply

I can slightly agree I don’t think anyone likes or appreciates how Thomas has been acting Town or not it’s just shitty.

In general I think scum are going to act townie and try to ignore him now that it’s become known what should happen to him.

I agree with this reasoning I’ll personally look at Mary soon though (hopefully)

Ah, the thread is finally at a reasonable size. This is quite liberating.
At least Thomas isn’t a killing class. We would have a big problem on our hands if that were the case. He’s still an annoyance, but at least he can’t gamethrow with his night action.

Anyway.

I think Edmond’s posts have been sufficiently free-flowy and free of formulaic progression. He looks good tonally as well, and he is not afraid to combine shitposting with a few meaningful questions + pieces of analysis.

I don’t think he’s at a high enough level to justify towncoring, but he is elevated above null. The primary issue I have with him is that he spent the first half of his ISO talking to Thomas and about Thomas. Like I said earlier, a wolf could easily do this, knowing they are set up to fail. It would also elevate their postcount.

Surely, there are also villagers who did this, though. You people really should have realized that it was a waste of time as soon as Thomas began to spam pepegas and failed to relent. But I digress.

Seems perfectly fine nothing to really comment.

Interesting.
The ISO contains no attempts to analyze anyone.
The posts about Thomas, especially the seventh and eighth post, come across as outright lies. They are performative. Geoffrey does not appear to truly care about Thomas’ conduct within the thread. Their comments about the thread being inflated were also throwaway remarks, rather than anything with even a shred of passion.

This opening string of posts hits quite a few notes I would expect from a mafioso attempting to enter this messy thread.

This particular part of their reasoning for calling Thomas town shows that Gilbert actually thought about the read. It wasn’t a foregone conclusion, he did not expect the other party to believe it implicitly, he actually brought evidence he had uncovered. Which means that Gilbert cares about his reads making logical sense, and that he would not simply throw a townread at Thomas with nothing to back it up other than “Thomas is being stupid.”

This mindset of “caring about reads and presenting evidence,” especially this early on and within a rather cluttered thread, is towny.

Gilbert is now above the null line.

From what was quoted here I can somewhat agree that Gilbert is null here or at least Slight scum, another slot that will be intresting to rad I guess.

I’m going to cut it short here in general I think Emma speaks as a person who wants to push the thread in their direction which can be scummy but In general I feel like it’s more likely town and they are acting pretty townie so far, I think this needs closer inspection later on

Sure thing. Currently I see Alice as a small W-Lean. Partly because they were Wolfleaning me and because of their opener. Sarah feels a bit off to me also, mainly because not much to read it off but it was mainly because I wasn’t getting a similar read that others were getting. Ivo seems to be a productive Town and by extension they make me believe that Emma is also Town.

Yes, at the time due to Sarah’s post, I was townleaning her slightly. Not to mention I more than likely found Gilbert as slightly Townie also. Andy also seemed pretty good for me (Especially with the opener, gave me a slight chuckle knowing how Town is with winning). That was about it really.
