The idea was that you’d be discouraged from doing that shit at random, because these two have really good passives, but yup, it kinda breaks the classes. I’ll write an addendum which prevents that from happening.
remove passives
Hey I’m Arbiter lmao
Also made it impossible to remove the Elder’s passives, because it kinda breaks the class as well. Makes them join the pack, which is lol.
Makes them join the pack, then leave the pack again. Peak comedy, but a bad mechanic.
Can I have original HoB Emperor and Unseen Emperor class cards here? I’ll try to figure out the Kings.

The vote will begin on the day immediately after you died. Additionally, at the start of each day, you will learn which Reshape Reality effect the Syndicate used last night, if any. Revealing this information within the thread will count as a claim, should the Syndicate notice it.
Tenacity (Passive) - You are occupation and redirection immune both at night and during the day. You may also use both night abilities at the same time. However, if it ever becomes known what class you are (either by you claiming, or another person claiming for you, or by other means) and the Syndicate notices it in their factional chat, all protective abilities from that point forward will no longer work on you and all attacks against you will bypass occupation and redirection. However, if it ever becomes known what class you are (either by you claiming, or another person claiming for you, or by other means) and the Syndicate notices it in their factional chat, all protective abilities from that point forward will no longer work on you and all attacks against you will bypass occupation and redirection. I tried to make electing the town PRs controversial decisions with both pros and cons. For instance, an elected Priestess can’t use Audience, and it could out her to the wolves. An elected Arbiter can’t guard and can’t see the Syndicate’s visits, which could out him to the wolves.
I think the names work, too. I shuffled things around a bit, but I think everything is functional all in all and nothing contradicts anything else I’ve written before.
I feel like adding one more class, a Social, but I have no idea if we need it / what type of class it should be. Any ideas?
Looking at the HoB socials, I think Magistrate could be a lot less confirmable if it had some things changed about it
The Magistrate
Hand of Byzantium Social
Royal Blood (Passive) - Your votes for Emperor will count twice.
Prestige (Passive) - Only up to two classes with Prestige can spawn the entire game.
Judicial Decree (Day) - Resets the votes, allowing only you and your target to be put on trial for today. - 2 uses
Disenfranchise (Night) - Silently reduces the amount of votes required to execute a target by one. - Infinite uses
Impeach (Night) - Kills the Emperor and automatically takes their place, becoming a Righteous Emperor. Cannot be used until the third night. - 1 uses
Disenfranchise is risky to accurately prove by itself
Impeach can have the “take throne if you successfully kill King” part removed to be less confirmable
Judicial Decree… hmm
also delete prestige from it
An innocent child miller.
the thing is
what is the point
disenfranchise has minimal impact in a game this size
gladiate is an instaconfirm and impeach is the only ability that kinda makes sense but is also instaconfirmable
Good point… and this is the least confirmable of the HoB socials besides coroner, wow
so what is role list
27er
1 of each syndicate (5 main pack, 1 lost wolf)
21 hob
including 1 arbiter and 1 priestess
what about starting king
election day 1 i think
or day 2
unless we want a potential syndicate king to spawn
