it’s almost like all we’ve fucking done is made everything more convenient
Question at that point is ‘how do you want to design the game?’
Given that we already have logs and people’s flips shown permanently after they die alongside having a text based system, I believe dev intent is for all prior information to be easy to find.
Which balance changes would you suggest to balance out the BD-sidedness of this “qol” change?
Scumchat to have a different tab
Lower daytime.
none because it’s not BD-sided beyond a very very slight shift, since it’s an ability that is very easy to misuse and waste your time with
Like
Looking back through that is pretty tough since it’s on the same tab as everything else
please no
daytime is too short as it is
Yep. That’s reasonable.
I’d say 5 seconds or so would be fine.
The thing is that that already assumes the game is in a completely balanced state.
Disagree
Not only very controversial but also heightens the necessity for meta
yeah okay i’m fine with 5 seconds of discussion
If you give people a gimmick which helps them to spare time… then you need to cut off day time.
If you want to keep the time balance.
but it’s not a fucking balance issue
it is so god damned negligible, and it benefits both allignments equally, basically by making it easier to do something that was already technically possible and intended
Theoretically if ISO was introduced, the best time to use it would be night time, since multitasking between backreading and posting during day is somewhat difficult
If you think that giving the game more time is NOT BD-sided…?
Hmm let’s say there are two scenarios
mountainous with post restrictions for everyone,
mountainous without post restrictions,
they have the same balance to you?
That’s completely different, because it’s not a manner of convenience, but it rather actively changes the game, considering that unless the PRs are randed allignment-exclusively it raises questions of which PRs the mod would give to wolves and which to villagers.
Exactly. ISO would change the game actively.
