[VFM] JoaT^2 - (6/15) - šŸ˜¹ Pirates (Town) Win!

No

Whyā€™s that?

Because I suspect he could be scum based on wagonomics.

Pretty sure thereā€™s at least 2 Wolves amongst the 4 I highlighted

I donā€™t see you voting though.

Ok Iā€™ll play along.
I ā€Motion Detected Elephas.

Iā€™d like to vote Wisp but there doesnā€™t seem to be any appetite for that so Iā€™m trying to think which of the other 3 could be scum

Agreeing eh?

And?

Elephas must be too good for you. :upside_down_face:

Sorry people, I slept for a very long time and had to take a break from FM so I only got about 1/3 of the way through my ISOs and cases.

Iā€™ll work on that after I catch up with thread!

This post does it for me, Io is town.
Will explain reasoning if anybody wants me to.

Iā€™d like reasoning

Still thinking Mole is scum. His play has been a combination of fluffposts, shitposts, asking questions, and occasionally providing random reads.

And some are very forced, like this one. Mole is looking for obviously scummy things instead of trying to look deeper.

And heā€™s casting random votes because that makes him look like heā€™s here to scumhunt. Hint: not for me.

Note that he had to come up with an explanation after voting.

There is no visible progression in the thread, such as this read on sulit.

This post is very stilted. Scum, but maybe town, but maybe evolved scum. But probably scum. Taking a strong stance is difficult for him when he has to provide an explanation, but heā€™s more than ready to throw townreads around when he doesnā€™t have to back them up.

I should note that his first readlist has no solid scumreads. What is this guy doing? If heā€™s here to solve the game, he should be developing scumreads. He is also actively avoiding to read me when Iā€™m pressuring him. Worried about antagonizing me further?

I do not like this post. The reasoning is very low-level, if it exists at all. The read on Wisp is especially baffling.

ā€œI hate people who self meta for no reason. They, in my experience, are scum. Strike 1. Add onto this a lot of weak questions of people I pretty sure this is scum.ā€

  • Wisp did self-meta.
  • I donā€™t like self-meta.
  • People who self-meta are often scum.
  • So Wisp is scum.
  • Oh, and he also asked questions, which means heā€™s scum.

Hypocrisy aside, this is the progression of someone who needs to have a wolfread, so they come up with an excuse for it that doesnā€™t really make much sense upon closer inspection.

Okay, but if Wisp is a wolf, then whatā€™s he doing for his team? Iā€™m sure thatā€™s a question you never asked yourself.

As people have already described, this is a bad idea which narrows the JOAT pool. Bad look in a vacuum, but I could see a villager writing this and genuinely believing that itā€™s beneficial. Not wolfreading Mole for this specifically.

We learn your alignment from your flip.

Quoting breaks the post, but how did you reach any of these conclusions? This makes no sense.

The placement of your wolfreads also makes no sense. Why did CatLover/Wiisp hop onto a 2nd V wagon and give it traction? I feel like your analysis is all over the place and mostly invisible, and that means you might as well be improvising as a wolf.

Wisp is your strongest wolfread, but you give up on pushing him because other people donā€™t feel like voting him?

This is literally wolf motivation. You donā€™t want to be pushing someone who wonā€™t gain traction, because thatā€™s not how you get misyeets. If youā€™re town, and you really believe Wisp is scum (which youā€™ve already said before), you should be begging the town to yeet Wisp, and you should be casing Wisp. Youā€™re not doing that at all. The scumread doesnā€™t matter to you nearly as much as it should. You donā€™t care about getting your wolfread yeeted, but you are ready to vote people you donā€™t necessarily think are scum, as long as there is traction.

I have no idea how this play makes sense from a villagerā€™s perspective. The simple, Occamā€™s Razor answer is that it doesnā€™t, because Mole is not a villager this game.

TL;DR Mole is a goddamn wolf and I donā€™t understand what he is getting towncleared for.

There is no way a wolf enters the thread, sees the JOAT cover idea criticized by people who are probably villagers, thenā€¦ performs JOAT cover as if no negative sentiment has ever existed. Openly breaking a notion established by the village for absolutely no reason isnā€™t something most wolves would ever do.

Which, to me, implies that Io is just town who is doing their own thing and doesnā€™t care.

Derps is difficult for me to read but Iā€™m going to try and look hard at the thought process behind their posts, because in Anon I found that itā€™s pretty easy to find agenda in them if you just look.

me just going through derp's posts looking at progression and reasoning yeet

Overall Derps is fine? I wouldnā€™t say locktown but they seem to have logical reasoning and progression behind most to all of their reads, and a couple certain posts pinged me as town. Would just like to know:

@SirDerpsAlot can you elaborate on why you scumread Elphas and how/where your read on Wisp changed please and thanks

I am unhappy with the approach iā€™ve taken so far where iā€™m doing the ISOs all at once on a doc just reading the thread. I thought it would be faster but I feel like iā€™ve just mixed these people together in my head and in the end itā€™s become more of a conglomerate of reads rather than an individual case on people.

Due to this displeasure I am just going to go one by one and start from scratch. Sorry people, iā€™m feeling out of it and donā€™t want to put something forward if itā€™s not my best :crying_cat_face:.

Probably going to start on Flameo as that is a slot iā€™m most interested in sorting. Expect that soon.

gotta head out for a couple mins but imma do gorta/elphas next

Initially scumreads Mole, but when there is actual pressure on Mole, she switches her read to a townread because ā€œMole is town despite what people are saying, and his post on Leafia is good.ā€

Hint: His post on Leafia was actually an example of really hedgy non-progression.
Hint 2: The read switch is awfully convenient. Not to mention the fact she distanced the Ash wagon from the Mole wagon later during the day.

Here.

Immediately assumes that Kat was an SPK despite having self-admitted low WiM, and a significantly lower postcount than many of the other players.

Seems like an opportunity to push agenda.

No? You voted ash because the alternative would be voting your wolf partner. In a world where you are both wolves, of course.

Your vote on ash also has little to no reasoning, and you actually barely talk about Ash in your ISO. Itā€™s sheeping at best and a wolfy pop-in vote on the top wagon at worst.

You also donā€™t seem to have any interest in solving the game. Your ISO hits many of the same point I made on Mole. Lack of explained reads, very low-level thinking at times, little to no pushing anyone. Youā€™ve been just floating in the thread this whole game, and yet when I start to suspect you, you give me an AtE-filled response.

If youā€™re a villager, give me reasons not to wolfread you by playing better than this. Right now, I think youā€™re just a wolf, and possibly Moleā€™s partner. Even independently from Mole, your ISO looks quite bad to me.

Okay so

Sulit town

Oh yeah, you were initially pinged by both Mole and Wazza, and you tunneled Wazza, which wasā€¦ not a great tunnel, but understandable from the perspective of someone pursuing their reads. However, you paid no attention to Mole, and then suddenly called him town when he was under pressure. What happened to him being your initial scumread? Was the only reason you defended him related to the fact other people had suspected him, too?

I wonā€™t go into detail about the Wazza push, Iā€™ve already described how it doesnā€™t match my impression of Wazzaā€™s play at all, and how it seems a bit artificial to me for that reason. But yeah, now Iā€™ve explained both of my top scumreads, and wrote the cases people seem to love so much.

Your move.
