I went through why the post dosen’t make sense as a joke, because it dosen’t even come across as a joke. Either that, or the post has to be serious, and as I’ve pointed out, it dosen’t make sense as a serious post because of the tonal and content inconsistencies.

why is he talking to chemist like he’s a newbie? he @s chemist in the post, so surely he thinks chem is a level 1 player who wouldn’t know what FoSing is. but surely he’s read chemist’s posts? chemist doesn’t come across as inexperienced, does he? he uses the “wolfy/villagery” thing pretty often, which is indicative of experience on MU, surely he saw the post about me and chemist knowing each other from playing on MU?

No? i don’t get how you’re not noticing these, but look at this:
“I’m just gonna” is tonally weird for Jake. I can’t quite explain it without getting out a fucking text analysis programme and determining Jake’s exact lexis, but I know for a fact that it’s not normal for him to post like that. It’s just not a normal phrase for him to use there. It’s like… it’s the sort of thing you’d post when you’re not sure how to introduce a point you have to make. I’ve done that before, because I couldn’t start a conversation naturally if my life depended on it.
