I need to see your thought process - the progression - that made you go from “Chloe is wolfy because I think her reminding Leafia about the postcount limit is wolfy specifically for her” to “I have a cursory townread on her”. I need quotes. You’ve given like, no indication at all to me that you’ve at least tried to skim the thread and have read Chloe/spf’s posts.

No it isn’t, his wallposting is wolfy as shit and is exactly what I expected from him coming into today

Almost all of it is just full of nothingburgers about Vulgard and Chloe, as far as I can tell I didn’t actually grasp a single opinion of his in that post at all, it’s a good wall but that doesn’t mean it’s a villagery one.

This is just pretty much a blatant misrepresentation of what I’ve said in my wallposts.

I came to the conclusion that Vulg is a wolf because I don’t believe what he’s saying. And I said that Chloe was gun-to-head villager for today because I’d like to work with her today. How is any of that a “nothingburger”?

Plus the whole “I’m just gonna stay in thread and wait for people to interact with me” thing from him feels like it’s more likely to come from a wolf this game state because I think a wolf is more likely to want to try to be slightly more frozen than they usually are considering the player list

When I’ve posted a shitton of content in a short period of time, and no one else is around ITT, of course I’m going to say something like this. I want people to actually read my posts and either engage with me about them (preferred) or come to an opinion about them. I’m just confused because a part of me still thinks somewhat that Vulg wouldn’t play /this bad/ as a wolf. He was Communications in the invi and he was very easily able to amass townreads in that game. He was a wolf in Gold Rush and endgamed in 5v3 xylo a while back. I’m committed to extinguishing w!Vulgard - I’m not staying in the sidelines at all.

What are your thoughts about the reasons I pulled out where Ghana might be a villager? (him trying to explain himself, saying that his chloe townread was fake, or him choosing specifically alice and I to focus on for Today)

What do you think of his tunnel on me and what that means for his alignment?

i don’t think saying the chloe townread was fake makes him more likely to be a villager, you could say that he wouldn’t do it as a wolf because he’d get obliterated for it but this becomes infinitely more desirable than keeping up the act of townreading chloe for little/no reason and digging himself a deeper hole

i think his tunnel on you has some merit, because after looking over your posts again i see where he’s coming from and i had a similar thought though in a slightly different vein. in a playerlist like this i don’t think he’d really have the confidence to go after you as a wolf here when you’re a consensus null/townread strong player which points to him believing this read rather than maintaining it for the sake of posturing

Why would you need to overplay your feelings here? I’ve never found a situation where FOL games need to “get the game going”. This game is full of good players who are all (mostly?) excited to play with each other. If this was like, my home site (MTG Salvation) then I could understand it because we’re insanely lurky, but I really have a hard time (again) thinking that you believe this.

What are your thoughts about the interaction I pulled up? Where spf asked Marl for reads and he just went like “no” twice (he did say that Alice was scummy for railing on him IIRC). Reason why I think it’s slightly villagery for Marl is because I just distinctly remember him trying to appease me when he was realtiming with me as scum in Ciconia.

i think as a wolf he’d try to take more of a pockety approach with people he plays with regularly and has more experience with (obviously he knows spf but i don’t think he plays with them that often) and try to focus his villagery antagonistic approach towards slots he doesn’t care how they view him so much (such as spf) in order to get townread for it by the people who knows he does this as a villager. does this make sense? lol

Emilia is absolutely someone who is far easier to read as the game progresses because she can’t keep up the act as a wolf and will eventually mess up somewhere

Don’t want to get too specific as she can figure out what to do to get townread but yeah keep an eye on her down the line

I’m fine with her in townleanville today but she’s nowhere near my core

Forgive me for parrotting this but the general sense I heard about her coming into this game was that she was townread in two earlier wolf games for “breaking her meta” which apparently involved a lot of analysis posts? But in this game she’s not trying to really force her analysis? Can you give me a more detailed rundown here? I didn’t read the games she was wolfing in.

It’s kinda just a habit of mine when I feel rather confident in something

I really do think Leafia is someone who is extremely easy to read and can be spotted in her first few posts and I stand by my read there

As for the wowee I literally have it ready to copy/paste whenever I wanna wowee and have probably wowee’d in every game for the past 6 or so months lol

Okay, that c+p thing about the wowee emoji makes more sense to me. It’s just that I feel that read reads as structurally fine without the bolded and then you included the bolded which felt like a tad overexplainy

Same to you. I do feel like if Vul flips W then that’ll remove a lot of my ~inner paranoia about you, but there’s a part of me that kinda feels like… I don’t think Vulg would play /this/ bad as both alignments, which is why I’m confused.

This dude literally won the Gold Rush game, so he clearly knows how to wolf. I’ve been chomping at the bit to play with him in a real game bc I think he’s competent as both alignments, despite him missing some of the time on reads accuracy in the past couple of his v games. And then I just see like

“Chloe wolf because she said ‘watch your postcount’ to Leafia!”
“spf wolf because she isn’t posting enough content!”

(I know i’m paraphrasing here but that’s mostly the gist of his reads)

Leafia, as a wolf, has a very very hard time not TMI’ing villagers, but especially her partners - and she’s very obvious about it

If there’s any indication that she’s trying to gauge alignments then she’s most likely a villager lol
I honestly felt the cogs turning in her first few posts

As I said in my original read, Leafia is likely only a wolf if her partners haven’t posted yet, as I’d seen none of the signs of her usual behavior when it comes to how she treats scumbuds

I think Arctic and Leafia are both villagers here. I also townread that take from Leafia, but I didn’t know how to articulate it. Arctic noticing that as well, cross-referencing it with a past game, and expressing the take in a way that sounds TMI-less makes me feel confident he’s town. I also think his take has merit, so Leafia should probably be town as well.

This post is going to age poorly if they are both wolves, but hey, gotta take some risks, right?
