(Yet Another) Noble Rework [For Less Confirmability]

The intent of this rework suggestion is to make Noble less confirmable. Regardless of how fun and useful I think the current Political Pressure is, its primary use is for reliable confirmation. And in Cult games, Noble Twin is mainly used to confirm the Noble claim is not an Apostle.

The Noble

Blue Dragon Social

Royal Blood (Passive) - Votes to elect you King count as two.

Gossip (Night) - See the feedback of abilities used on target player. Will not receive feedback for conversion, attacks or Evil Support abilities that reveal the person as evil. (Infinite uses)
Maid Spy (Night) - See the contents of all whispers tomorrow. (2 uses)

Noble Twin (Day) - Your vote for execution or pardon will count twice. Nobody will be notified unless this ability changes the outcome of the trial. (2 uses)
Political Pressure (Day) - Force all abstainers to vote the same as yourself. Nobody will be notified unless this ability changes the outcome of the trial. (1 use)

Of course both of the new day abilities can technically still confirm a Noble. But that comes at the price of an extremely high risk of a mislynch.

I don’t know if this new Political Pressure would result in a meta of nobody ever abstaining. If that were to happen I’d rather remove it entirely than revert it to the current one.

Making Noble Twin single use but count as 3 votes is also something to consider.

I’d keep PP over twins

But Force-Vote can’t be reworked to be unconfirmable. Double-Vote can.

Force-Vote could stay with Aristocrat and Apostle but should be removed from Noble since it’s primary use is for confimation.

Yup but it’s confirmable

But twins are also mainly used for confirmation because of how rarely they actually do anything

If anything we should remove both Ability’s and then give Noble/Aristocrat/Apostle private matters instead of Mystic

The first post in this thread reworks Noble Twin to be unconfirmable. Noble should not get Private Matters because that is confirmable which defeats the purpose of the rework.

Yea well if he has a useless ability then you may as well just give him no ability. However this way we can give lots of utility to the cult and higher odds for the Unseen without accidentally allowing them to be outed this way

And it also makes the mystic less confirmable

Taking away Private Matters from Mystic is not going to make Mystic less confirmable, she has Telepathy anyway and confirms herself every night with Link or Conduit.

The very first post in this thread proposed making Noble Twin count as 3 votes so it would be more useful.

Noble twin is useless for the same reason that Decide fate is rarely used by GKing. If you have enough votes to get someone on the stand then you have enough votes to execute them

Not true. If half the players are evil, they need an innocent to wrongly vote up another innocent in order to get him on stand. A Noble Twin pardon would rectify such a mistake.

If someone was convinced that they should be voting someone up then they can also be convinced to execute

People change their minds, especially since the fact a player got enough votes to be put on stand may prove his innocence.

That rarely happens late game. And even when it does the King already has an ability that accomplishes this but better and actually useful

Just because Noble Twin is rarely useful doesn’t mean we should remove it.

No we should remove it because it stops an Apostle from claiming Noble.

Not necessary, I feel as every point you’ve been making was posted by someone who didn’t read the OP, where I reworked the ability to prevent it from being used to confirm nobles as not apostles.

Exept you also removed the actualy useful ability in the process. Political Pressure is consistently useful even before taking into account proving potential. Noble twins is not even if you made it infinite votes
