Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to make a phone call to the Boss and get out of jail, buy a minigun and a tank and try to run over some journalists who started to defame me.
Goodbye.

My name is Tess Ardent btw
No, I wasn’t. Although I usually use them to add additional stuff and not alter what was said. It’s just a convenience for letting my thoughts flow. In ways it’s more pure than not doing that.
I add a sentence or two on, but I never edit out.
Polpo is that you?
These are too hilarious
My opinion is and always will be that no player should ever be scared of missing the cutoff to quickedit and receiving a system-recorded edit instead (which seems to be the general thought around here and has been for a long while), because it’s unequivocal fact that quickedits are a much greater integrity breach than system-recorded edits in all cases, and always will be.
Then I’d enforce that rather than following Luxy’s ideology.
If people complain then they’ll complain, and you may decide to change your thoughts.
System-recorded edits are always really bad. Don’t do it.
And yeah, I sometimes quickadd a line on the end as well, if noone else wrote yet.
I’ve never been worried about that.
If that happens, although I usually almost always add within 30 seconds or so, I just ping host immediately and check in.
Whatever the official stance from leadership is on this, it must be better defined IMO.
Yes when done like the paragraph adding. But a typo is a typo
The point is i’ll never be able to know for certain if a typo quickedit really is just a typo quickedit unless I see it myself, and that matters a lot to me
So I guess if I saw it personally I might not care as much. Idk
Ultimately hosts still gotta host. You can’t have everything spelled out for you, because there will come situations where you need to use judgement.
But then if I don’t see it it’s not punishable
Lol. Did I just personally lean myself to the opposite of my original leanings
Yeah, hosts are a little bit like Judges. On one side you have the rules… but you are the person to interpret and enforce them.
Judgement is better suited for things which aren’t right or possible to define for every case.
It is possible for the edit policy to be clearly defined but it just isn’t. That’s the difference.
When something is explicitly omitted such as to make it a grey area forever when it doesn’t have to be, that’s something I’ll never agree with
