I think in a game of conversion you need wishpering.
Lets say for example you remove the wishpering of the game.
Now, everyone will have to claim to whole court, because it doesn’t make sense that only the sheriff and the drunk will out themselfses.
btw, its probably the best tactict to bd to claim to the whole court right now.
Thats much harder for evils because the king will have much harder time to disprove your logs then the whole court
Removing wishpering from the game should come with other changes.
For example: make king have 2 guards per night that prevent visits

Whispers are all or nothing. I think they’re fun and would be a very sad panda if they left. I don’t know what the solution is to the d2 whisper meta, but I’m confident they’ll find something that works.
A lot of people said the same thing about making the game conversion based.
Maybe - Give more evils the ability to hear whispers? It’ll give them much needed information. Maybe something like the Mastermind having a 2-use day ability to hear all whispers from a player?
and possibly allowing an illusionist to passively hear all whispers?
Don’t particularly have any ideas about how to handle whispers in a cult game, but cult is already stronger than Unseen right now IMO.

Then you likely have the same problem that original illusionist had - nobody uses them because odds are the person listening in is evil.

I think what we should do is replace Assassin’s Distract with a 2-use Day Ability to see all whispers for the next 30 seconds, and same with CL. And then we can move Rupture to Acolytes, who would be Cult Killers. Maybe?
Not really, because although giving MM/CL the ability to read whispers will help kill the whisper meta, it then makes whispers incredibly risky and a near-useless feature. While this may not be bad for balance, it’s just bad game design.
Obviously, it wouldn’t let you read ALL whispers. Just whispers for one player (unless you’re the illusionist which is super rare, and is already a bad idea to convert due to mind links not happening.)
I’ve been reading this thread and I think whispers should be killed or fixed. NONE OF THE PROPOSED CHANGES COULD WORK. My best idea is too make it 100% anonymous
