Let me explain, from my perspective:
I see 4 cases where a public townread d1 could happen:

1. N0 cop + townies. This doesn’t exist, so that’s out.
2. Mafia + scumbuddies, to clear buddies
3. Mafia + townies, to pocket townies
4. Townie + people - > what you’re claiming

But how would you benefit from publicly showing your judgements as a Townie, especially as early as d1? You share your opinion that may be wrong, and in the best case scenario you get everyone to agree to not lynch those people. In the worst case scenario you falsely clear scum, and give them an easy platform that they can just ride on. I think the risk outweighs the benefits. As time goes on it’s important to share information to actually figure out who’s who, but at this point we just have so little evidence. And we do see Arete admitting that those were just gut feelings - why would you clear people based on gut feels? I sense something more.

Also, I just think that a townlist just has a much more probability coming from scum, as mentioned in points #2 and #3.

The cop claim was sketchy, as I’ve mentioned before - townread list + credibility = deepwolf.

All of these combined, I’m still voting for Arete.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk. Again, although I may be horribly wrong here, but I firmly believe that I am correct.

Universal’s thing is that it will be beneficial to the current gamestate at the discretion of the storytellers. My guess is that this info won’t be as beneficial, as compared to let’s say at d4.

I think this is a really villagery post, too.
I sustain my V read on cloned. The two cheeses seem similar. He hasn’t really been playing recently, but what does exist in his ISO is quite good. He’s doing stuff, he’s reading people, and he doesn’t sound hesitant/scared/overly cautious.

He’s not that different. In ToS he had slightly more conviction, but the overall content, tone and behavior feel similar. My initial impression was “different,” but upon re-reading, I reached the conclusion that he’s “not so different” after all.
