Rules:

  • Follow all Global Rules and Official Forum Mafia and Forum of Lies Rules
  • Make at least 20 game-related posts each day (unless day ends early). If you fail to meet this requirement, you might get replaced. For 0 posting in full game day I will force replace you without any questions.
  • Don’t edit posts. This includes quickediting for typos, just don’t do it.
  • No alt accounts are allowed.

General information:

  • Closed setup.
  • Days are 48 hours, nights are 24 hours.
  • Eliminations are majority + plurality. In case of a tie, elimination will be randed.
  • At EoD, votes made up to :59 mark will be accepted (but not at :00 mark).
  • It will not be announced if the game reaches MYLO/LYLO
  • The game will contain bastard elements. However, OP will never lie, your rolecard will never lie, and no flips will ever be false.
  • Town is uninformed majority and Wolves are informed minority.
  • Town win condition is: Eliminate Wolves and all other possible threats to Town.
  • Wolf win condition is: Achieve parity with Town and eliminate all other possible threats to Wolves.
  • Other win conditions may or may not exist.

Game mechanics:

  • There are no conversions.
  • There may or may not be lost wolves.
  • Flavor/role claims are allowed at your own risk.
  • Flavor isn’t alignment indicative, but might be role indicative for some roles while being misleading or not role indicative for others.
  • Wolf factional kill is assigned. Performing it doesn’t prevent using other night actions.
  • You can’t perform actions on N0 unless specified otherwise.
  • Deadline for submitting actions is one hour before the end of the phase (whether day or night).
  • If you have several different night (day) abilities, then you can use all of them during a single night (day), unless specified otherwise.

Chloe’s Tips and Tricks to Hopefully Not Get Decimated

Disclaimer: I have ~zero clue how to play closed/rolemadness setups, and vanilla games are goat image

1. Read every post.
Even the long ones like this. Don’t go ‘ooo wow long post ok this is probably town,’ and instead absorb the content. Our site has a horrible horrible habit of constantly posting one-liners, and seeing wallposts as being townie af, or just ignoring them as a whole. This is dumb. We should change this. It’s really really bad.

2. Don’t play like this is mountainous.
The game isn’t mountainous, so don’t play like it is (as much as I want to). Context and timing for claims should be taken into account. Legitimacy of claims should be taken into account. Checks and mech info should be treated with a grain of salt, as we can’t possibly know everything that happened action-wise, but should still be taken into account. That being said:

3. Don’t overly rely on mech info or claims.
Claims don’t clear you. Your claim should not be the only thing stopping you from being an elim. Play the game, and allow us to find you socially, if you’re town. Just because someone claims something powerful or odd that you ‘never see as being scum’ does NOT mean they are not scum and you no longer have to read them. If people who claim powerful shit live to lategame, something is wrong. Also… DONT IMMEDIATELY OUT YOUR CHECKS. Allow time for spew! Don’t jump the gun because it’s exciting.

4. Fuck meta (except when it actually does something).
We suck at metareading. Nobody in this game has distinct meta that bars them from being a wolf. Meta is a crutch that we are allowed to use (and I’ll definitely rely on it it a bit lol) but should never be the main basis for a read.

5. PLAY BY POE
Everyone wants to find wolves. I get that. We all wanna be the hero who solves the game and dunks on every wolf ever, but that isn’t how you win. Earlygame idc, go ham, but the best way to get a dub is if we find villagers and don’t give the wolves any wiggle room. (Yes, I’m linking That One Newcomb Article, eat me). Form a towncore and work together. Don’t try to be a hero.

6. Don’t hyperpost.
Hyperposting makes your ISO a pain to go through, and will make it infinitely harder to figure out what your reads are and/or find you as town. I know it’s fun to hyperpost and meme and shit, but like… I like to win, so let’s do that instead. Wolves can fit in much easier if we allow them to top the postcount and clog the thread. So don’t!

7. Don’t be stupid.
