I still can’t see why Mist is lockscum and this seems very much like Marshall is setting this up for a Mist lynch into a Hippo lynch into Scum Majority.
How many slots does Mist even clear or solve if we hang them here compared to me or Marshall or Luxy if everyone and their mother says ‘lol Mist lockscum’
Okay, playing a bit of catch-up here.
Mist is the lynch target here. Mist has consistently shown scummy behavior, and their flip gives us info on Marshal, Luxy and Hippo by way of Hippo’s claims that [Marshal, Luxy] has scum. Which moves me to my second point.
A scum flip from Mist tells us that if Hippo’s theory is correct and there is scum in [Marshal, Luxy], it’s going to be Marshal over Luxy. Luxy was the one to organize a push on Mist, and Mist responded with shadethrowing. I sincerely doubt that we’re looking at some 500IQ play by scum!Luxy and scum!Mist to get Luxy towncored even further, so safe to say that a Mist scum flip spews Luxy as town.
Third point; Mist and Hippo both pushing on Marshal here, plus Hippo seemingly not acknowledging Mist’s scummy behavior, leads me to believe that a Mist scum flip gives us reason to suspect Hippo as another scum trying to save their friend.
Now, obviously not all three of these are what we’re seeing; the second and third largely contradict each other (if Hippo is scum as in the third point, it’s highly unlikely that their claims of [Marshal, Luxy] holding scum are valid). But this is the framework for the response to Mist’s lynch that I see moving forward. Does anyone have another way of looking at this?
You’re only a slight scumlean to me, Kat. I said before that I thought [Nuclear, Kat] had a scum given the D1 lynch, but you haven’t been displaying terribly scummy behavior since then. I might have been off with the original read, but if we continue to figure that at least two scum got in on the Kai lynch, then your scum equity spikes.
Actually, scratch that; if we figure two scum on the Kai lynch, then you and Italy become lockscum because Jake and Nuclear are dead. So unless Luxy actually is the deepwolf, it would have to be you two.
Honestly, I’m not as confident in that as I was before Jake’s flip. But that still leaves me without an answer as to how the Kai wagon sprang up so quickly. Scum logically had a hand in that.

Scum screwing with the Jake ML would have meant that Jake flipping gave away info that scum didn’t want us to have D2. They couldn’t feasibly delay that lynch to D3.
So I think the play is to look at what info the Jake flip gave us. If it points to someone being scum, then that lends credence to the theory. Bonus points if it was someone who voted Kai.
