As the sun sets on Ravenswood Bluff, you all go into your cabins to sleep. Unfortunately, however, the following nights are going to be much more… sinister… than normal.

Night one begins.

Well well, there seems to be so many of you! Well far be it from me to come alone, I’ve brought along some… ghostly friends to assist you all through this tribulation. Also, we’ve got another visitor. Poor guy doesn’t seem to know what he’s getting himself into!

The first night ends, and the first Day begins! Nominations open at 2021-08-05T13:00:00Z.

Alms for the poor? @Apprentice the Beggar has travelled into Ravenswood Bluff!

Outsiders 101 - How to play as and deal with the possible Outsiders.

If you’re Saint…
As the Saint, you obviously don’t want to get executed during the day, so your best option to get yourself killed at night. Your ability doesn’t trigger if you die at night and it completely dissapears once you’re dead, so try your best to bait the demon kill by either being a favorable target socially or mechanically.

Going against the Saint…
We never kill Saint until F3 pretty much. That is all I have to say. If two Saint claims arise, we pray for a Lycan or try to use the mechanical evidence we have to figure stuff out.

If you’re Sweetheart…
Don’t die, or try to survive for as long as you can. Realistically speaking, you’re gonna die at some point, but try to prolong it as long as you can. The more safe information we can confirm, the better for us.

Going against the Sweetheart…
If a person claims Sweetheart, I’d say it’s usually fine to execute them as long as we have enough social or mechanical evidence. Otherwise, with little evidence, we probably want to dodge executing Sweetheart.

If you’re Heretic…
If you are the Heretic, do not ever claim until F3 or F4 (preferably F3 since we’ll probably no-execute on F4). This is because if evil ever found out you exist, they can simply win during the night by having the Demon kill themselves.

While it’s not F3ish, try your best to stand out socially as good. Obviously you can’t stand out mechanically as good, so we need to know if we can trust you or not socially, so you really need to try and make yourself appear townie. Solve, encourage active discussion, be useful, etc.

Going against the Heretic…
If a Heretic claim arises at F3, the best thing we do is use our mechanical and social evidence to determine if the Heretic is real or not, and then work from there.

Otherwise, if a Heretic hasn’t out, still play to your win condition if you’re good aligned. Always play like Heretic isn’t in play and don’t intentionally gamethrowing cause “oh there MIGHT be Heretic”, don’t do that, that’s stupid.

One more thing, don’t ever fakeclaim Heretic ever if you’re good as well… (I’m looking at you Sky :eye:. I’m watching you).

If you’re Damsel…
Get yourself killed. Damsel’s biggest weapon is that their ability doesn’t work if their dead, and thus they are no longer of dead weight.

Become a favorable nightkill target, get yourself executed during the day (granted this isn’t preferable but I’m saying this so that you don’t need to be afraid of getting executed). Do anything that you can to really get yourself killed without harming good too much.

Additionally, Huntsman also exists, so if you can figure out some way to signal to possible Huntsman, then go for it I guess?

If you’re dead, I’d recommend outing yourself immediately. A Huntsman can still choose you at night and turn you into a Townsfolk, confirming both of you to each other.

Going against Damsel…
If you suspect someone is Damsel, don’t fricking say it outloud. Try whispering them and asking yourself. Obviously, this might not work, but it’s worth the try if the person trusts you enough.

Drunk
There’s nothing we can do about Drunk really to be honest. The best thing to do is to figure out who’s the Drunk early on. This is done via looking and examining information to see what matches and doesn’t match. Keep in mind Poisoner screws with this, but other than Sweetheart and Poisoner, there’s pretty much no source of misinformation in the game

Bing bong, short read for the newbies.

People who’ve played this game more than 10 times probably could’ve figured this stuff by now, but it’s a nice read, and it hurts my feelings if you don’t read it

Also.

We 100% exile Apprentice at F3/F4 for the record.

I’m not letting a traveler power through.

And don’t give Apprentice your ghost vote unless we all collectively decide on it. His ability is useful, but only if used correctly

ur creating the whisper btw
