There are different ways to scumread, but it all goes back to one central idea:

• Is the player genuine in their motivation to solve, or not?

A few lenses you can use to help solve:

• meta (does this player typically act this way as a particular alignment?)
• progression (how they develop their reads [typically scum will struggle to have genuine progression])
• tone (how a player talks. This one is the least exact of a science).

IMO their day1 of chaos was almost as scummy, one how did you know he was town in that game compared to now. Secondly what posts and actions other than the hardclaim scream scum to you? I want to see what you see, and understand your reasoning

Im not, I have him as a null right now since hes been extremely scummy but he was also scummy d1 in chaos.Like hes definate Poe but we have to keep meta in mind. So let me get this right this ritual phase we kill someone, and they activate one of their ritual abilities. And someone has to be sacrificed so theres no way out of it. Our current two big sacrifice choices are Geyde who wont be able to activate any abilities since Baz did their ability, or PKR is claiming Minisomething I dont know the spelling. Since he outed that, he cant be healed so hes pretty much free kill target for scum.

Weighing both options they both are beneficial in the aspect that if Bazs reads are right Geyde is scum and we have a easy lynch here with no reprocussion of a heretic ability going off. Or we have PKR who if not lying is pretty much dead tonight, and we get two permanant votes on a scummy player in their eyes. Im leaning Baz’s idea atm since his scumreads are pretty damn accurate

I think that overall I townread you for most of your actions especially the Geyde defense D1 considering his flip. And combining the TR with that you got a redcheck I’m more than willing to get rid of Blue for this thunderdome.

Blue to me hasnt been similar to his scum meta that I remember which iirc a boatload of confidence, but a red check is a red check, and unless he was framed, which someone made a good point on why he wouldn’t, or your lying which I doubt cause the TR, hes caught scum. Now if he flips village you are scum, traitor, or had ur investigation tampered. If he flips scum ur even more lock towned

See thats why that logic doesnt make sense. Push/scumread they come from the same mindset, that you dont like how this person is posting and you mention why. A push has more pressure to it with bombardment of questions and all, but in the essence a scumread is still a push just with less effort behind it. I agreed with Blues sentiment on HTMs post feeling off so I agreed with his push/scumread. Idk maybe I’m the only one who uses them interchangeably
